Louis Vuitton says its leather-goods collections are produced in the United States, as well as France, Spain and Italy. That statement applies to leather goods as a category; it does not mean every Louis Vuitton product—or every bag—is made in the U.S.
Which Louis Vuitton products are made in the United States?
Louis Vuitton’s U.S. FAQ says: “Leather Goods collections are exclusively produced in our workshops located in France, Spain, Italy and the United States.” This confirms that U.S.-made Louis Vuitton leather goods exist, but the FAQ does not identify particular models or say where any individual item was made.

Where does Louis Vuitton make products by category?

How many Louis Vuitton leather-goods workshops are in the U.S.?
LVMH’s 2024 Universal Registration Document reports that Louis Vuitton had 29 leather-goods workshops as of 2024: 18 in France, four in Spain, four in the United States and three in Italy. LVMH says these workshops manufacture most of the Maison’s leather goods. The figures describe workshops, not the number or share of products made in each country.
Does the country of manufacture indicate quality or authenticity?
The production-country information does not compare quality across countries. The FAQ and LVMH’s workshop figures do not support a conclusion that an item made in one listed country is better or worse than one made in another.
Nor do these sources provide an item-by-item origin list or explain how to authenticate a particular product from its country-of-manufacture marking. A country label alone should not be treated as an authenticity test on the basis of this information.
