What did the $15 Sam’s Club offer cover?
Sam’s Club described the promotion as “Come back to the Club & get $15 off your next qualifying $30+ purchase.” It was a purchase discount for qualifying former members who rejoined—not a reduction of the annual membership fee. The official rejoin offer page listed October 4, 2026, as the end date.
To use the offer, a returning member had to rejoin online or in a club, then spend at least $30 before tax on eligible items in a single in-club transaction within 30 days of rejoining. It could not be redeemed online or in the app. Alcohol, tobacco, eGift Cards, gift cards, prescriptions, and fuel did not count toward the qualifying purchase.
A separate, conditional Sam’s Cash reward
The same promotion described a possible follow-up reward: within 30 days after redeeming the $15 discount, spend at least $25 before tax at Sam’s Club to receive $10 in Sam’s Cash. Alcohol, tobacco, eGift Cards, gift cards, prescriptions, and fuel were excluded from that qualifying spend. This was a separate condition, not an immediate $25 cash-equivalent discount; participation was subject to Sam’s Cash and membership program terms.

Was there another membership discount?
A separate Sam’s Club new-member offer page described a promotion running July 6 through September 30, 2026: $35 off a Club membership or $65 off a Plus membership. It required joining through the specified link and excluded renewals, current members, people who had been members in the previous six months, guest members, and Walmart or Sam’s Club associates. Its stated end date had passed by October 8, 2026, so it is not evidence of a current discount.
How to check whether a current offer is worth it
Before joining, confirm the terms on Sam’s Club’s live offer page. Promotions can change or end, and the offers above do not establish whether a new $15 promotion replaced them. Check these details before entering payment information:

- How to claim it: Check whether you must use a particular sign-up link or join online or in-club.
- What you must spend: Verify any minimum purchase, redemption window, eligible channel, and excluded categories.
- What you will pay over time: Confirm the full membership price after any discount, the renewal charge, and whether auto-renewal is enabled.
- When the offer expires: Make sure the end date has not passed and that the terms apply when you sign up.
Membership term and renewal details
Sam’s Club’s general membership terms describe an annual fee covering a 12-month period and require members to be at least 18. The terms also say members may be asked to show valid government-issued or other approved identification. The expired new-member offer page stated that a primary membership was valid for one year and required cancellation at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the recurring annual charge. Sam’s membership terms describe recurring annual billing until cancellation; check the terms tied to the current offer for its specific cancellation rules.
