CaseKing’s six listed models ranged from €145 for the Core i3-13100T to €629 for the Core i9-13900T. Those are historical German prices—not current U.S. street prices.
What did the Raptor Lake-T CPUs cost at retail?
HotHardware reported on February 13, 2023, that German retailer CaseKing had listed all six 13th-generation Raptor Lake-T desktop models. The U.S. dollar figures below are HotHardware’s approximate conversions at the time, not current exchange-rate conversions or U.S. retail quotes. The report said the euro prices matched those of the corresponding non-T processors.
| Processor | CaseKing listing | Approx. USD conversion in the 2023 report | Cores / threads | Maximum turbo frequency |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Core i9-13900T | €629 | $674 | 24 (8P+16E) / 32 | 5.3 GHz |
| Core i7-13700T | €439 | $470 | 16 (8P+8E) / 24 | 4.9 GHz |
| Core i5-13600T | €289 | $309 | 14 (6P+8E) / 20 | 4.8 GHz |
| Core i5-13500T | €265 | $284 | 14 (6P+8E) / 20 | 4.6 GHz |
| Core i5-13400T | €255 | $273 | 10 (6P+4E) / 16 | 4.4 GHz |
| Core i3-13100T | €145 | $155 | 4 (4P) / 8 | 4.2 GHz |
These listing figures answer what the headline’s “land at retail” meant: a German retail snapshot in 2023. They do not establish availability or pricing in the United States in September 2026. Treat the dollar conversions as historical context, not a basis for a current purchase budget. HotHardware’s February 13, 2023 report gives the listing context.
What does the T suffix change?
The T models are 35 W-class desktop processors designed around a lower power and thermal budget than their regular counterparts. Intel achieves that by reducing base and boost clocks and lowering maximum turbo power; the core counts and other key characteristics can remain similar. The result favors lower heat and easier cooling over peak clock speed. The suffix does not mean the processor is guaranteed to draw exactly 35 watts under every workload.

- Stream, create, and compete at the highest levels with industry leading features and the latest hybrid architecture
- 24 cores (8 P-cores + 16 E-cores) and 32 threads
- Up to 5.8 GHz unlocked. 36MB Cache
- Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 770 included
- Compatible with Intel 600 series (might need BIOS update) and 700 series chipset-based motherboards
Example: Core i9-13900T versus Core i9-13900
In HotHardware’s comparison, the 13900T has a 1.1 GHz P-core base clock and a 5.3 GHz maximum boost, with 106 W maximum turbo power. The regular 13900 is listed at 2.0 GHz P-core base, 5.6 GHz maximum boost and 219 W maximum turbo power. Those specifications illustrate the trade: the T model has a lower power ceiling and lower clocks, while retaining the same headline core configuration. Specifications alone do not establish benchmark performance or sustained speeds in a particular PC.
When is a 35 W T-series CPU a sensible choice?
A T-series processor can suit a compact system where restricted airflow, a small cooler, heat or fan noise matters more than maximum CPU clock speed. HotHardware also identifies home-theater PCs (HTPCs) and small-form-factor builds as natural use cases. Lower CPU heat can make more of a system’s thermal budget available to a discrete GPU, though whether that helps depends on the case, cooling setup and workload.

- Up to 5.1 GHz unlocked. 24M Cache
- Discrete graphics required
- Compatible with Intel 600 series (might need BIOS update) and 700 series chipset-based motherboards
- Consider a T model for a compact or quiet desktop with limited cooling capacity and workloads that do not require the highest sustained CPU clocks.
- Compare with a regular model if the PC will run long, CPU-heavy workloads or if peak and sustained clock speed are priorities.
- Check the whole build before buying: motherboard and socket compatibility, cooler fit, integrated-graphics needs, cache and current local pricing all matter alongside core count and power figures.
The CaseKing report does not provide current local prices, comparative benchmark results, or a universal answer about whether a T model is worth an extra charge. Its listed 13th-generation T prices reportedly matched the corresponding non-T prices at that retailer and time; that does not guarantee parity in another market or today.

The Core i9-14900T belongs to the later 14th-generation desktop lineup, not the six 13th-generation models in the CaseKing listing. Intel’s product page specifies 24 cores (8 performance and 16 efficient), 32 threads, 36 MB Intel Smart Cache, 35 W processor base power, 106 W maximum turbo power and up to 5.5 GHz turbo. Intel lists a $549 recommended customer price (RCP), but explicitly says RCP is pricing guidance and actual point-of-sale prices vary by market, taxes and promotions. It is not a guaranteed retail price. Intel’s Core i9-14900T specifications provide those figures.

That broader lineup confirms the T suffix is a power-oriented variant within a generation, but does not make the 13th-generation CaseKing prices current prices for any 14th-generation model. Intel’s 14th-generation edge brief lists the lineup.
