It is in Fayetteville, Georgia, near Atlanta, and Seattle-based real-estate startup Arrived bought and renovated it as a themed vacation rental. Airbnb lists it as a three-bedroom home for up to six guests; the interior is a recreation for guests, not the set where the show’s interior scenes were filmed.
Where the real Byers house is—and what appeared on the show
The property is in Fayetteville, Georgia, in the Atlanta area. Its exterior was used for scenes set at the Byers family home. The show’s interior sets were built at a nearby studio; the current themed interior was created later for the rental. The Airbnb listing says the exterior location influenced the design of those studio interiors, but guests should not mistake the rental’s recreated rooms for the rooms seen on screen. Airbnb’s listing describes the distinction.
What staying there is like
Airbnb describes the property as an entire home with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, six beds and a maximum of six guests. The listing title is “Stranger Things – Byers Home – 15 Min to ATL.” Its themed details include vintage decor, an interactive Christmas-light wall, a game room, records, VHS tapes, a CRT television and board games. Those are features described by the host; amenities and listing details can change.
The host presents the home as a fan-driven project and says it is not affiliated with Netflix. The property’s connection is its filming-location exterior and its themed guest experience, not an endorsement or official Netflix attraction.

Who bought it, and what the project cost
Seattle-based real-estate startup Arrived bought the house and developed it as a vacation rental. GeekWire reported in October 2024 that the purchase price was about $400,000 and renovation spending was roughly $500,000, including work with professional set designers who had worked on the show. These are historical costs reported at launch, not a current valuation or evidence of the property’s financial performance. GeekWire’s 2024 report also said the house was about 15 minutes from Atlanta’s airport.
At launch, GeekWire quoted Arrived COO Alejandro Chouza estimating rates of about $350 per weekday night and $700 per weekend night. Those were launch-era expectations, not current Airbnb prices. The listing says pricing depends on the travel dates entered, so check the calendar for the dates and total cost relevant to a trip.

Can you invest in the Byers House?
Arrived’s January 1, 2026 article says the original Byers House investment offering has passed. The company says shares may be bought or sold through its secondary market, subject to trading windows and eligibility conditions. That does not mean shares are always available, and it is not a promise of returns. Arrived’s property article and its property page describe the platform’s current process.
The reported purchase and renovation costs are not a substitute for current valuation, operating costs, rental income or independently audited performance. The cited sources do not establish those figures, so they cannot support a conclusion about the property’s investment returns.
