Was the show filmed at Meghan and Harry’s house?
No. Netflix describes With Love, Meghan as a lifestyle series about cooking, gardening, and hosting at a California estate, and its official coverage places filming in Montecito. Town & Country reported that the production rented a nearby property rather than filming most of the series at the Sussexes’ home. It also reported that a few scenes used the couple’s own backyard and chicken coop, so not every outdoor shot necessarily shows the farmhouse.
Meghan explained her choice in an interview with People, as quoted by ELLE Decor: “I wanted to protect that safe haven.” She said she values family time at home and that having a crew of more than 80 people there would be a lot. The crew size is her reported description, not an independently verified production count.
Where is the farmhouse, and who owns it?
The filming property is reported to be in Montecito, California, a few miles from the Sussexes’ residence. Netflix’s series coverage identifies Montecito as the filming area, while Town & Country distinguishes the rented property from the couple’s home. The published accounts cited here do not establish a street address or parcel number, so the community is the most precise location that can be stated.

Realtor.com reported that Tom and Sherrie Cipolla own the property. The available reporting does not establish that it is currently listed for sale or available to rent.
What does “$8 million” mean?
Realtor.com reported in January 2025 that the Cipollas bought the farmhouse for $4.7 million in 2017 and estimated its value at upward of $8 million. The $8 million-plus figure is Realtor.com’s estimate, not a documented sale, independently confirmed appraisal, or verified current market value. The reporting cited here does not include county-record verification or a current listing.
What is the property like?
According to Realtor.com’s 2025 report, the property sits on five acres and has four bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, and a barn that also served as a filming location. Those figures are reported details, rather than independently verified specifications.

ELLE Decor describes an open kitchen with cream cabinetry, a farmhouse-style sink, a butcher-block island, and a Thermador stove/range. The article does not identify an exact appliance model, so the visible range should not be treated as a basis for a model-specific recommendation.
Why the house features so prominently
The kitchen and grounds suit the show’s focus on cooking, gardening, and hosting. Netflix’s official description says Meghan invites friends and well-known guests to a California estate to share those activities. In the trailer, Meghan put the approach this way: “We’re not in the pursuit of perfection. We’re in the pursuit of joy.”
