YachtCharterFleet also identifies Lürssen as builder and lists the 2019 delivery date, 11 cabins, 22 guests and 55 crew.
The official site names Espen Øino as exterior designer; YachtCharterFleet credits Mark Berryman Design for the interior. These published specifications and descriptions come from the yacht’s site and specialist listings, rather than independently verified measurements.
What is inside the yacht?
Flying Fox is designed around hospitality, wellness and entertaining. Its official feature descriptions include a two-level spa, a 12-metre pool and two helipads. The spa covers 400 square metres and includes a cryosauna. Other listed spaces include a double-height salon with fig trees and a fireplace, a cinema, and a helideck sports court.

Does Jeff Bezos own Flying Fox?
That has not been established by an official ownership record in the sources reviewed. Bezos has been linked to Flying Fox in popular reporting, but specialist publication NGY says ownership has never been officially confirmed and disputes the claim that he owns the yacht. The most accurate description is that the Bezos association is an unconfirmed, contested attribution—not a verified fact.
Did Flying Fox cost $400 million?
No verified construction cost or sale price of $400 million is established in the available sources. NGY describes the yacht as often valued at around $400 million, and YachtMarketIntel publishes the same figure as an estimated value. Neither is evidence of what the yacht cost to build or what a buyer paid in a transaction.

For a personal-finance-minded reader, the distinction matters: an estimated market value, a build cost and a documented sale price are different figures. The $400 million number should be treated as an estimate, not a confirmed price tag.

Current availability is unclear. YachtCharterFleet labels Flying Fox “not for charter.” The official website lists a winter rate of €3,000,000 per week for the past period from 1 September 2024 to 1 May 2025, so that figure is not a current quote. The same official page says the yacht is not available to US brokerage houses, US residents or US citizens, and states that it is on the OFAC SND list. Those restrictions and any present booking status should be confirmed directly because they can change.
