Indian Overseas Bank’s 2024 recruitment for 550 apprentice posts is closed. Applications for the FY 2024–25 engagement opened on 28 August and ended on 10 September 2024, so the September 10 deadline is no longer active. Anyone checking for a new opportunity should use IOB’s official careers page; later notices are separate recruitment cycles.

What the 2024 notice covered

Indian Overseas Bank issued advertisement HRDD/APPR/01/2024-25, dated 28 August 2024, for apprentice engagement during FY 2024–25 under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The 550-post total was reported by Scroll.in in its contemporaneous notice coverage. IOB’s advertisement listing confirms the application dates and scheme, but the detailed vacancy table is not reproduced here.

Read the original IOB advertisement alongside the contemporaneous Scroll report for the original announcement.

Can you still apply?

No. The application window ran from 28 August through 10 September 2024. That deadline applied to this specific FY 2024–25 notice, not to any later IOB recruitment. For current notices, check the IOB careers page and confirm the financial year, advertisement number, and application dates before acting.

What happened after registration closed?

In a notice dated 30 October 2024, IOB said the remote-proctored online examination had been held on 22 and 27 September 2024. The bank said provisional selection considered available vacancies, candidate eligibility, and online-examination performance. See the IOB selection notice for that cycle’s update.
