The April 10 deadline in this headline was April 10, 2025, not a current application deadline. The Indian Navy’s 2025 Agniveer SSR and MR notices set the Stage-I INET application window at March 29–April 10, 2025, for the 02/2025, 01/2026 and 02/2026 batches. That window is closed.
Secondary reporting says a separate 2026 recruitment window for the 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches ran March 14–April 6, 2026; those dates have also passed. Check the official Join Indian Navy portal for any newer notice rather than relying on an old application date.
What the April 10 date means
The Indian Navy’s official 2025 Agniveer SSR notification and Agniveer MR notification list March 29–April 10, 2025, as the Stage-I INET application period. The notices covered the 02/2025, 01/2026 and 02/2026 batches, and listed a correction window of April 14–16, 2025.
The official portal’s indexed material may show older recruitment details and is not, by itself, confirmation of an open application window. The Indian Express reported on March 12, 2026, that applications for a later recruitment covering the 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches ran March 14–April 6, 2026. That is secondary reporting, and those dates have passed as well.

How SSR and MR eligibility differ
The 2025 notices set different educational requirements. Meeting the education requirement alone does not establish eligibility: applicants also need to meet the applicable batch’s birth-date limits and the other selection and medical conditions in the full notification.
| Entry | Education in the 2025 notice | Exam format in the 2025 notice |
|---|---|---|
| Agniveer SSR | 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics, at least 50% aggregate, from a Ministry of Education-recognized board; or a specified three-year engineering diploma or two-year vocational course with Physics and Mathematics, also with at least 50% aggregate. | 100 objective questions in one hour: English, Science, Mathematics and General Awareness. |
| Agniveer MR | Matriculation with at least 50% aggregate from a recognized board. | 50 objective questions in 30 minutes: Science and Mathematics, and General Awareness. |
The referenced notices invited unmarried male and unmarried female Indian candidates, subject to all stated eligibility conditions. Each notice sets batch-specific birth-date limits; consult the relevant notice for the batch in question rather than applying a single age range to all batches.

Selection does not end with the computer-based exam
Both entries have stages after Stage-I INET, so passing the computer-based exam alone does not complete selection. The MR notice details physical fitness testing, a written examination and a recruitment medical; the SSR notice also sets out later selection stages. Standards, dates and requirements should be checked in the full notification applicable to the particular entry and batch.
