What was the IIM CAP 2024 last date?
Scroll and Mint both reported that applicants had until 5:00 PM on January 31, 2024, to submit the CAP 2024 form. Mint said the deadline had previously been January 29 before it was extended. These dates apply only to the 2024 admissions cycle.

What application process did the reports describe?
The reports identified IIM Kashipur as the institution conducting CAP 2024, the Common Admission Process for MBA and PGP admissions. This was the CAP application process—not CAT 2024 registration.

Scroll and Mint described the application steps as registering or entering registration details on the CAP portal, signing in with CAT registration credentials, completing the form, uploading the required documents, submitting the application and keeping a printout. These were reported steps for the 2024 process; they do not indicate that the old portal remains available for applications.
Could applicants correct the form after submission?
Scroll reproduced wording attributed to the CAP notification warning that no further corrections to information in the CAP 2024 application would be entertained after submission. The report advised applicants to review the information carefully before submitting. The warning was not attributed to a named person.

A December 2023 Indian Express Education explainer described CAP as a single-window MBA admissions process. It discussed nine participating IIMs at that point and referred to CAT 2023 results, a written ability test (WAT) and a personal interview (PI). Because that explainer predated the finalized deadline announcement, its details should be understood as earlier context, not definitive criteria for every participating institute or the final 2024 selection process.
