IHOP’s 2025 National Pancake Day offer was a free short stack—three buttermilk pancakes—for each guest who dined in at a participating restaurant on Tuesday, March 4, between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. The offer has expired, so it can no longer be claimed.
What the 2025 free-pancake offer included
IHOP’s February 24, 2025 announcement described the promotion as available at participating restaurants nationwide. It was dine-in only and limited to one short stack per guest. The announcement does not establish that every IHOP location took part.

Can you still claim the 2025 offer?
No. The promotion was for March 4, 2025, and that date has passed. IHOP’s current National Pancake Day page points to a later event, so check IHOP’s current announcement and with your local restaurant for any new date, participation details, and terms; the 2025 conditions do not establish what a later offer includes.
What was the separate Santa Monica event?
IHOP also planned a different National Pancake Day anniversary activation: “20K for Pancake Day,” at the Santa Monica Pier on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT. It was not the March 4 restaurant giveaway.

IHOP said the pier event aimed to serve 20,000 pancakes in an attempt to set a Guinness World Records title for most pancakes served in eight hours. The company pledged to donate $1 to Feeding America for each pancake served during the record attempt. Those figures were announced targets and pledges; the announcement does not report a final pancake count, donation total, or whether the record was achieved.
