Verdict: IFGM should not be judged by its website, trading software, or online star ratings alone. The key question is whether the company currently offering you an account is the same legal entity named on a valid regulator register.
IFGM has historically presented itself as an Australian forex and CFD broker associated with an ASIC-authorised business. That is not the same as saying every website, representative, social-media account, or payment request using the IFGM name is genuine. A current licence check, matching domain, and successful withdrawal test are essential before depositing money.
What is IFGM?
IFGM is a forex and CFD brand. Its offering has generally been aimed at clients trading currency pairs and leveraged derivatives, rather than at long-term investors buying and holding shares. The products typically associated with brokers in this category may include forex, indices, commodities, metals, and other CFDs.
That distinction matters. CFDs and rolling spot forex are complex, leveraged products. You can lose your entire deposit, and in some account structures losses can exceed the initial amount unless negative-balance protection applies. A broker can be legitimate while its products remain unsuitable for many retail traders.

- COMPLETE TRADE PLAN ON EVERY CARD, NOT JUST THE PATTERN — The front shows the visual setup with labeled Entry and Stop Loss levels. Flip it over for the full picture: market psychology behind the formation, exact confirmation trigger, stop placement logic, profit targets, trailing stop guidance, and traps to avoid. Most flashcard sets show you what a pattern looks like. These cards teach you how to actually trade it.
- UNDERSTAND THE "WHY" BEHIND EVERY SETUP — Each card explains the psychology driving the formation — why buyers or sellers are exhausted, what the structure reveals about supply and demand, and what conditions separate a high-quality setup from one to avoid. Technical analysis clicks differently when the logic behind the chart is laid out in plain language.
- COVERS THE SETUPS MOST RESOURCES SKIP — Beyond foundational patterns like hammers and engulfing candles, this deck includes Volume Divergence, Support-to-Resistance Flips, Market Structure (Higher Highs & Lower Lows), and False Breakout / Bull Trap identification. The patterns that catch most traders off guard are the ones covered here.
- PORTABLE REFERENCE BUILT FOR ACTIVE TRADERS — 4×6 cards designed for real use. Large enough to read clearly at your desk, slim enough to fit in a laptop sleeve or backpack. Printed on premium 350GM cardstock with a protective coating — built to survive daily handling at your trading station, not sit in a drawer.
- 47 PATTERNS ACROSS EVERY MAJOR CATEGORY — Bullish and bearish reversals, continuation patterns, momentum signals, market structure, and trap setups in one complete deck. Study the full set systematically or pull up any card mid-session as a quick reference. No wi-fi, no subscription, no screen required.
Is IFGM regulated?
IFGM has historically been linked with an Australian financial-services business holding an Australian Financial Services Licence. However, a broker review should never rely on a licence number copied from the broker’s own website. The regulator’s register is the controlling source.
To check the Australian entity:
- Open the ASIC website.
- Go to Professional Registers and select Search ASIC registers.
- Search for “IFGM,” the company’s legal name, and any Australian Financial Services Licence number shown in the account-opening documents.
- Compare the register’s legal name, licence status, business address, authorised activities, and website or trading names with the details supplied by IFGM.
A genuine match should be exact or clearly explained. A similar company name is not enough. Scammers sometimes copy the name of a regulated firm and direct customers to a different website or bank account.
What an ASIC licence does not guarantee
An ASIC licence does not guarantee that a trade will be profitable, that the broker cannot fail, or that every person contacting you is an authorised representative. It also does not remove normal CFD risks such as leverage, slippage, forced liquidation, widened spreads, or overnight financing charges.
Before opening an account, ask which legal entity will be your counterparty and request the current Financial Services Guide, Product Disclosure Statement, client agreement, and fee schedule. The entity named in those documents should match the entity on the regulator’s register.

Brand impersonation is one of the biggest risks in online trading. Treat the following as warning signs:
Rank #2
- A WhatsApp or Telegram “account manager” promises fixed returns or guaranteed profits.
- You are urged to deposit immediately because of a limited-time bonus or investment opportunity.
- The contact uses a domain that differs slightly from the broker’s verified domain.
- You are asked to send money to a personal bank account, a cryptocurrency wallet, or a company unrelated to the regulated entity.
- A representative asks for remote access to your computer or phone.
- You are told to pay tax, insurance, a clearance charge, or a security deposit before a withdrawal can be processed.
- The person refuses to let you contact the broker through the telephone number or email address published on its official website.
Never use a link supplied in a sales message as your only method of verification. Type the broker’s address manually, contact support through the verified website, and ask whether the person and account number are genuine.
Deposits and withdrawals
The withdrawal process is more informative than a polished landing page. Before sending a large amount, read the client agreement and look for:
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Withdrawal method | Find out whether funds must return to the original card or bank account and whether third-party payments are prohibited. |
| Processing time | Separate the broker’s processing time from the time taken by banks or card networks. |
| Fees | Check bank, card, currency-conversion, inactivity, and overnight-financing charges. |
| Verification | Identity and source-of-funds checks can be normal, but they should not require a new deposit. |
| Margin rules | Understand when the broker may close positions or request additional collateral. |
A request for extra money to unlock money already in the account is a serious advance-fee warning sign. Legitimate identity checks may involve documents, but “pay another 10%,” “upgrade to VIP,” “fund your wallet,” or “pay the tax before withdrawal” are not normal reasons to release trading funds. Do not keep paying in an attempt to recover an earlier deposit.

Trading platforms and account conditions
IFGM has been associated with MetaTrader-style forex trading, but the presence of MT4 or MT5 proves very little. These platforms are widely licensed and can be used by both reputable brokers and fraudulent operations.
Check the details that affect the actual cost of trading:
- Minimum deposit and whether it differs by account type.
- Typical—not merely minimum—spreads.
- Commission per lot and whether it applies on both opening and closing.
- Maximum leverage available to your jurisdiction and account classification.
- Swap or overnight financing charges.
- Stop-out level and margin-call level.
- Whether negative-balance protection applies to your account.
- Restrictions on hedging, scalping, expert advisers, or news trading.
Do not choose an account because it advertises zero-pip spreads. A commission, mark-up, financing charge, or poor execution can make the total cost higher than a wider spread account.
Complaints and online reviews
Search results can reveal useful patterns, but reviews are not proof by themselves. A single angry post may reflect a genuine dispute, a misunderstanding of margin rules, or an impersonator. Conversely, a large number of positive testimonials may be affiliate marketing rather than evidence of safe withdrawals.
Recommended Free Tools
Give more weight to complaints that include dated correspondence, transaction records, and a clear description of the legal entity involved. Look for repeated allegations about the same issue, especially:
- withdrawals being delayed without a contractual explanation;
- unexpected fees appearing only after a withdrawal request;
- pressure to deposit more money;
- account managers promising managed returns without the required authorisation;
- changes in bank details or payment instructions.
Check the regulator’s warning list and disciplinary notices as well as review websites. The absence of a warning is not proof of authorisation, and a regulated firm may still have unresolved customer disputes.
What to do before depositing
- Identify the counterparty. Write down the exact legal company name, registration details, licence number, and registered address.
- Verify the licence independently. Use ASIC’s register rather than a badge or certificate on the website.
- Confirm the domain. Contact official support and ask whether the URL, email address, and payment instructions belong to the broker.
- Read the legal documents. Pay particular attention to client-money arrangements, withdrawal rules, leverage, dispute resolution, and fees.
- Start small. Deposit only an amount you can afford to lose and make a small withdrawal before increasing the balance.
- Keep records. Save account statements, deposit confirmations, chats, emails, and screenshots.
- Do not borrow to trade. Leverage can turn a modest market move into a rapid loss.
If IFGM will not return your money
Stop sending additional funds. Ask for a written explanation and a transaction-level statement, but do not allow support staff to pressure you into another payment.

Contact your bank or card issuer immediately and ask whether a card dispute, payment recall, or fraud report is available. Cryptocurrency transfers are usually difficult or impossible to reverse, but you should still report the wallet and transaction to the exchange used to send the funds.

Report suspected misconduct to ASIC or the relevant regulator in your country. If you were contacted by an unauthorised investment promoter, preserve the original messages and payment instructions. Be especially wary of “recovery agents” who promise to retrieve the money for an upfront fee; victims of trading scams are frequently targeted a second time.

The most accurate answer is conditional. A real regulated company may exist behind the IFGM name, but that does not authenticate every IFGM-branded website or salesperson. Nor does regulation eliminate the possibility of trading losses, operational problems, or a dispute.
If the legal entity and website match the current ASIC record, the documents are clear, and a small withdrawal works without an extra payment, that is more reassuring than marketing claims. If you were promised guaranteed returns, asked to pay before withdrawing, or directed to an unrelated recipient, treat the operation as potentially fraudulent regardless of the IFGM branding.
FAQ
Is IFGM a regulated forex broker?
IFGM has historically been associated with an Australian financial-services business, but you should verify the current legal entity and licence directly on ASIC’s Professional Registers. A licence number shown on a website is not sufficient.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Does an ASIC licence guarantee my money?
No. Regulation provides rules and oversight, but it does not guarantee trading profits or prevent all losses. Read the client-money, insolvency, dispute-resolution, and negative-balance provisions before depositing.
Should I pay a fee to release an IFGM withdrawal?
No. A demand for an advance tax, security deposit, VIP upgrade, insurance payment, or percentage of profits before releasing funds is a major scam warning sign. Stop paying and contact your bank and regulator.
Is MetaTrader proof that IFGM is legitimate?
No. MT4 and MT5 are third-party trading platforms used by many brokers. They do not verify the identity of the company operating the account or guarantee that withdrawals will be honoured.
What is the safest way to test a forex broker?
Verify the legal entity with the regulator, read the agreements, confirm payment details through official support, deposit only a small amount, and request a small withdrawal before committing more money.

Bottom line: IFGM may be connected to a genuine regulated business, but the brand alone is not enough to establish that a particular offer is safe. Verify the current ASIC record and matching domain before opening an account. Never send extra money to unlock a withdrawal, and avoid any representative promising guaranteed returns or pressuring you to deposit.
