Eligibility: JAM and ESO had different criteria
JAM education and age
The 2023 notice required JAM applicants to hold a bachelor’s degree, with at least 60% marks for General and OBC candidates and 55% for SC, ST and PwBD candidates. It set an age range of 20–25 years as of November 1, 2023; eligible birth dates were November 2, 1998 through November 1, 2003, inclusive. Category-based age relaxations and any other conditions should be read in the original advertisement rather than inferred from this summary.

ESO education
The stated education requirement for ESO was graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. The summary available for this announcement does not establish a complete ESO age criterion, so applicants should not assume that JAM’s age range applied to ESO.
Application dates, test schedule and historical application route
Applications were scheduled to open on November 22 and close on December 6, 2023. The tentative online test dates were December 31, 2023 for JAM and December 30, 2023 for ESO. The application period and both test dates are over.
At the time, the published instructions directed candidates to IDBI Bank’s careers or current openings section, select the JAM or ESO application link, register online, complete the form, upload documents and pay the application fee. Contemporaneous coverage reported fees of ₹200 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates and ₹1,000 for other categories. These describe the 2023 process; an old application link is not a current application opportunity.
Selection and reported remuneration
The recruitment included an online test. Careers360’s November 2023 report also described document verification, a personal interview and a pre-recruitment medical test. The exact sequence and differences by post should be confirmed in the detailed advertisement; the summary does not establish one definitive process for both roles.
