Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

For May 2026, ICAI opened online applications on March 3; the deadline without a late fee was March 16, and the late-fee deadline was March 19. Both deadlines have passed. Check ICAI’s portal for any later attempt’s dates rather than relying on the old February 2 headline.
May 2026 CA exam application dates
ICAI’s published May 2026 dates apply to Foundation, Intermediate and Final. The application and correction windows are separate:
| What | May 2026 date and time (IST) |
|---|---|
| Online application opens | March 3, 2026, 10:00 |
| Last date to apply without late fee | March 16, 2026, 23:59 |
| Last date to apply with late fee | March 19, 2026, 23:59 |
| Correction window | March 20, 2026, 10:00 to March 22, 2026, 23:59 |
These are the dates in ICAI’s May 2026 Important Dates notice. Since the listed application and correction windows have closed, they are not available for a new application or correction now.
Why February 2 is not the current application date
The February 2 date appeared in an ICAI-hosted journal notice for the May/June 2024 examination cycle. It does not apply to May 2026. ICAI’s May 2026 portal lists a different application window, while a 2025 ICAI announcement says Foundation, Intermediate and Final examinations would have attempts in January, May and September. So “May-June” and February 2 should be treated as historical wording unless a notice for a specific cycle confirms otherwise.

For a later attempt, use the dates published for that attempt on the ICAI May 2026 examination portal as a reference to the official portal, then check the relevant current-cycle notice. Do not carry forward dates from either 2024 or 2026.
What to check before submitting an ICAI exam form
ICAI’s application guidance asks candidates to confirm their details and eligibility before applying. Prepare these checks before starting the form:
Rank #2
- Make sure you can access your SSP account and that your credentials work.
- Check that your course registration is active and that the course code shown is correct.
- Review the photograph and signature held on the portal.
- Foundation and Intermediate candidates should verify registration and the intended group details.
- Final candidates should also check the applicable articleship, course and module eligibility requirements.
ICAI provides separate application guidance for Foundation and Intermediate and for Final. The requirements are cycle-specific; consult the notice for the attempt you plan to take.

There is no single fee that applies to every candidate. ICAI’s fee chart varies by course, group or unit and examination-centre geography. Check the applicable row in the May 2026 fee chart rather than relying on a universal amount. For another attempt, use that cycle’s fee chart.
