Can you still apply for IBPS PO today?
No. CRP PO/MT-XIV was the recruitment cycle for vacancies of 2025–26. IBPS posted its detailed notification on 1 August 2024, and that cycle is historical—not a current application window. See the IBPS CRP PO/MT-XIV cycle page and detailed notification.
The later CRP PO/MT-XVI portal lists registration and online fee payment from 1 July through 26 July 2026. Those dates have passed as of 8 October 2026. The current-cycle dates are on the IBPS CRP PO/MT-XVI registration portal.
What does 8 October 2026 mean on the portal?
It is the last date to print an application for XVI, not a registration deadline or an extension. The portal separately lists the registration and fee-payment period as 1–26 July 2026, and an editing period of 29–30 July 2026. Printing an already-submitted application is a recordkeeping step; it does not reopen the form for someone who did not apply.

If you submitted an XVI application, use the official portal to retrieve or print your record. IBPS cautions that submitting an online application does not establish that you meet all notification criteria; applications remain subject to scrutiny and may be rejected if the candidate is ineligible. Consult the applicable notification for the criteria and instructions.
How many vacancies were in IBPS PO/MT-XIV?
The figure of 4,455 posts in the headline is not verified by the official excerpts available here. The XIV detailed notification is the appropriate primary source for its vacancy table and any official updates, but the total should not be presented as confirmed without checking that table and relevant corrigenda. Vacancy totals can also change by recruitment cycle and update, so do not transfer a figure from another year.
How does the IBPS PO/MT selection process work?
For XIV, IBPS described a common recruitment process for PO/MT or similar cadre posts at participating banks—not a direct application to one bank. The selection stages in its notification are:
- Online Preliminary examination.
- Online Main examination for candidates who qualify in Preliminary and are shortlisted.
- A common interview for candidates shortlisted from the Main examination, coordinated with participating banks.
Provisional allotment follows the selection process and depends on actual vacancies reported by participating banks, reservation rules, and applicable administrative considerations. The XIV notification contains the cycle-specific instructions.
Where to look for the next application window
For a future opportunity, check IBPS’s official cycle page and the notification for that specific year. Confirm the registration dates, fee-payment deadline, eligibility, and required documents in the notice before applying; do not rely on a print deadline or dates from a previous cycle.
