What AFCAT 02/2025 recruitment covered

The recruitment was for courses commencing in July 2026. The cycle-specific terms, including vacancies and eligibility, were set out in the official AFCAT 02/2025 notification.

How applications were submitted
The 2025 notice directed candidates to apply online through the IAF career/AFCAT websites specified in the notice. The contemporary report described the sequence as registering on the AFCAT site, logging in, completing the form, uploading documents, submitting the application, paying the applicable fee, and saving or printing the confirmation page. This is historical information only; use the live cycle’s official notice for current application instructions rather than attempting to submit through a past-cycle form.

Fee and eligibility: check the cycle-specific notice
Hindustan Times reported a non-refundable examination fee of ₹550 plus GST for AFCAT 02/2025, with an exemption for NCC Special Entry candidates. That is secondary reporting about the 2025 cycle, not a current fee schedule. Confirm any fee and exemption in the official notice for the cycle you intend to apply to.
The report summarized the 2025 age limits as 20–24 for Flying Branch through AFCAT/NCC Special Entry, with a possible upper-age relaxation for holders of a valid, current DGCA commercial pilot licence, and 20–26 for Ground Duty branches. Those ages were calculated as of 1 July 2026. Age alone does not establish eligibility: education, branch-specific conditions, nationality, marital status, medical standards, and acceptable age evidence also matter. Consult the full cycle-specific notice, not a brief summary, before deciding whether you qualify. The IAF’s general AFCAT entry information explains the broad route and branch categories; the notification governs cycle-specific criteria.
