IBL Finance Limited’s proposed public issue of secured, rated, listed, redeemable non-convertible debentures (NCDs) is reported to open on 12 October 2026 and close on 26 October 2026. The offer has a ₹25 crore base size and may retain up to ₹25 crore in oversubscription, taking the total to ₹50 crore. Those dates and terms remain subject to the final prospectus and live exchange notices.
What IBL Finance is offering
An NCD is a debt security: investors lend money to the issuer, which agrees to pay interest and repay principal under the instrument’s terms. It is not a bank deposit, and the stated return is not assured. IBL Finance’s proposed instruments are described as secured, rated, listed and redeemable, but those labels do not remove the possibility of delayed or missed payments.

The Economic Times, citing PTI on 8 October 2026, reported the proposed issue details, including a BSE listing. A separate issue page identifies both BSE and NSE, so the final listing venue should be confirmed in the prospectus rather than assuming both exchanges. The Economic Times/PTI report and Capital Market’s issue report carry the reported timetable and size.

How to compare the NCD series
The reported tenors are 13, 24, 36 and 60 months, and the reported maximum yield is not necessarily available on every series or for every investor. A secondary issue page reports coupon rates ranging from 10.00% to 11.50%, but its issue fields are inconsistent. Confirm series availability, coupon, effective yield and actual payment schedule from the final prospectus before making a selection.
Coupon and yield are different measures. Coupon describes interest calculated on the instrument’s face value under its terms; yield reflects the return implied by the price and timing of cash flows. Compare the actual cash amounts and dates, redemption amount, tenure and effective yield—not the headline coupon or maximum yield alone. Consider tax treatment as well, which should be checked for your circumstances; the surfaced offer information does not establish it.

- Read the payment frequency and schedule for the specific series.
- Compare maturity and redemption amount, not just the annualized rate.
- Check rating and outlook, security terms, covenants, and any call or put provisions in the final documents.
- Assess whether you can hold until maturity; a listing does not guarantee an active market or a sale at face value.
What “secured” and “rated” do—and do not—mean
“Secured” indicates that the NCDs are intended to have security over specified assets, but the label alone does not identify the collateral, its value, the cover ratio, priority, enforcement process or likely recovery time. Those details need to be read in the prospectus and security documents. They are not established by the reported headline terms.

A credit rating is an assessment of credit risk, not a guarantee of repayment or interest.
Use of proceeds and issuer context
Reported intended uses include onward lending and financing, repayment or prepayment of principal and interest on existing borrowings, and potentially general corporate purposes. IBL Finance’s managing director, Manish Patel, said: “The proposed NCD public issue is part of our funding strategy as we continue our lending operations across lending to individuals and financial institutions,” according to the 8 October 2026 Economic Times/PTI report.
A secondary issue page lists standalone figures for the year ended 31 March 2026: total assets of ₹129.86 crore, total income of ₹17.33 crore, profit after tax of ₹2.44 crore, reserves and surplus of ₹36.37 crore, and total borrowings of ₹131.55 crore. It also reports total income growth of 33% and profit-after-tax growth of 4% versus the year ended 31 March 2025. These are secondary-source figures; check audited issuer filings before relying on them.

Can you sell before maturity?
The proposed NCDs are described as listed, which can provide a route to sell on an exchange after listing. It does not ensure a buyer, trading volume or a price equal to face value. The available offer reporting does not establish secondary-market liquidity, call or put rights, or the specific process for an early exit. Review the prospectus for those terms and be prepared for the possibility that holding to redemption is the practical option.
What to verify before applying
- Open the issuer’s debt documents: use the IBL Finance investor desk to locate the final prospectus, abridged prospectus and related issue documents.
- Confirm the live offer: check the prospectus and exchange notices for the opening and closing dates, final issue size, allotment basis and current subscription status.
- Choose by series terms: verify tenor, coupon, payment frequency, yield basis and redemption amount for the particular series you are considering.
- Read the risk and security sections: establish the rating and its status, collateral pool and cover, covenants, default remedies, and any call or put provisions from primary documents.
- Check practical and tax implications: confirm listing venue, application requirements, early-sale limitations and tax treatment for your situation.
The proposed lead manager, debenture trustee and registrar named on a secondary issue page are Comfort Securities Limited, Beacon Trusteeship Limited and KFin Technologies Limited, respectively. Confirm the appointments and contact details in the final prospectus before relying on them.
