What the 2024 HPSC recruitment covered
Scroll reported the 98-post total and the Group A/Group B split in its May 22, 2024 coverage. A contemporaneous secondary explainer associated Advertisement No. 14/2024 with Group A and Advertisement No. 15/2024 with Group B. The grouping and advertisement numbers should not be taken to mean that the two groups had identical conditions.

Scroll reported that the online application process opened May 22, 2024 and ran through June 5, 2024. The application period is over, so this is a historical notice rather than an open opportunity.
Scroll also reported fees of ₹1,000 for unreserved male applicants and ₹250 for reserved-category applicants. Those figures do not establish the complete fee schedule or exceptions; applicants needing authoritative category-specific details should consult the original HPSC advertisements.

Eligibility, pay and selection details need the official advertisements
A Physics Wallah explainer published May 22, 2024 included reported eligibility, age limits, selection stages and pay information. It describes written examination and interview selection and reports pay of ₹56,100–₹177,500 for Group A and ₹44,900 for Group B. These are secondary-source claims, not independently confirmed here against the governing HPSC notices.
The explainer contains an inconsistency in its account of Group B experience requirements. It is not possible to resolve that discrepancy from the available information, so no definitive experience rule or other group-specific qualification should be inferred from it. Check the applicable HPSC advertisement for disciplines, qualifications, experience, age limits, relaxation, reservation, pay and selection rules.
