What the “registration begins” headline refers to
The headline “HPSC Assistant Professor registration begins for 2424 posts; here’s apply link” refers to HPSC’s 2024 recruitment for 2,424 Assistant Professor (College Cadre) posts in various subjects in Haryana’s Higher Education Department. Advertisement Nos. 42–67/2024 were issued on 2 August 2024. The headline was published on 8 August 2024, when the original application period was open.

As of 8 October 2026, neither cited application window is open. Do not treat an old application page or link as a current opportunity to register. The recruitment notice named hpsc.gov.in as the website for online applications, but the available information does not establish a currently active application link.
If you already applied: check your subject’s notices
Later activity should be checked by subject rather than assumed to apply uniformly to all 2,424 posts. An indexed update dated 23 July 2026 reported document verification, interview marks and final-result activity for several subjects. That secondary report does not establish the current status of every subject or replace an official HPSC notice.
- Go to the official HPSC website.
- Find the latest notice for your subject and the relevant advertisement number.
- Use that notice to confirm any pending selection stage, document-verification schedule, marks or result. Do not rely on a notice for another subject as confirmation of your own status.
What the November 2024 corrigendum changed
A corrigendum dated 12 November 2024 changed the stated screening rule: HPSC reserved the right to call candidates directly for the Subject Knowledge Test regardless of the number of applicants for a post. This change alone does not describe the complete selection process or establish a candidate’s next step. For all stages and subject-specific schedules, refer to the full advertisement and later official notices.

The available information establishes that the application windows have ended and that subject-specific activity was reported in July 2026. It does not verify a consolidated, current status for every subject. Candidates should therefore rely on HPSC’s latest notice for their own subject and advertisement number for any remaining stage or result.
