The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) reopened applications for Assistant Professor (College Cadre) posts from March 1 through 5:00 PM on March 15, 2025. That deadline has passed; the reopening notice does not establish that applications are open now.
What the March 2025 notice covered
The reopening applied to Advertisement Nos. 42 to 67 of 2024 for Assistant Professor (College Cadre) posts in Haryana’s Higher Education Department. HPSC said 2,424 posts had been advertised. It also said revised subject-wise post bifurcation would be displayed when received from the government, so the advertised total should not be treated as a final revised distribution. The notice set the application period as March 1, 2025, through 5:00 PM on March 15, 2025. Its directions applied to particular groups of applicants, not as general instructions for later HPSC recruitments.
Who had to update or submit an application
SC applicants who had already applied
Applicants in the Scheduled Caste category were directed to update their category to DSC or OSC, as applicable. Those in the DSC category had to provide a latest DSC certificate under the cited Haryana notification. For OSC applicants, the previously uploaded SC certificate would be considered.

New applicants in either category under the corrigendum had to state the relevant category and upload a current certificate issued by the competent authority.
Applicants with a missing signed printout or incorrect details
Some existing SC applicants were instructed to cancel their application and submit a fresh one with the required fee if they had not uploaded the signed printout or had entered incorrect category or qualification details. HPSC said the fee paid for the earlier application would not be adjusted against the new application.
Eligibility and selection context
Contemporaneous NDTV Education coverage summarized the requirements as a relevant master’s degree with at least 55% marks, Hindi or Sanskrit knowledge to matriculation standard, and NET qualification or an applicable PhD exemption. It reported an age range of 21–42 and a selection process involving a Screening Test, Subject Knowledge Test and interview. These are secondary-reported details; the exact subject requirements, age calculation, exemptions, fees and selection scheme should be checked against the original advertisement and applicable corrigenda. No current portal status is established by the March 2025 notice. Its deadline has passed, and it should not be used as evidence of an open application window. Anyone considering a later HPSC recruitment should check the commission’s current notices and the relevant advertisement rather than relying on the 2025 reopening instructions.
