HPPSC opened applications for 13 Mining Inspector and Assistant Mining Inspector posts on 22 November 2023, but the application deadline was 18 December 2023 at 11:59 p.m. That recruitment is closed. Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) records show the process later advanced to recommendations and an Assistant Mining Inspector final-result notice.

Application dates and age limit reported at the time
Applications reportedly opened on 22 November 2023 and closed on 18 December 2023 at 11:59 p.m. The report gave an age range of 18 to 45 years as of 1 January 2023, with upper-age relaxations applicable. These dates have passed, and the age summary should not be treated as a substitute for the advertisement’s category-specific rules.

How the application was described
As historical context, Scroll.in described an online process through the HPPSC website: register on the portal, log in, complete the form, upload documents, pay the applicable fee, submit, and retain a copy. The portal process cannot be used to apply for this closed recruitment.
The report summarized the fee as ₹400 for specified general-category male candidates and candidates from other states; ₹100 for specified Himachal Pradesh reserved-category male candidates and groups; and no fee for certain Himachal Pradesh ex-servicemen and blind or visually impaired male candidates. The exact categories and conditions must be checked against the original advertisement; this summary does not establish the complete fee rules.

What happened after applications closed
HPPSC’s 2024–25 Annual Report records four Mining Inspector recommendations dated 6 August 2024 and eight Assistant Mining Inspector recommendations dated 27 January 2025. HPPSC’s notice index also lists an Assistant Mining Inspector final-result press note dated 17 January 2025. Recommendation counts are not proof that every advertised vacancy resulted in an appointment; individual appointment records are separate.
