How to use Blur in a collecting workflow
1. Discover and assess a collection
Start with the collection and the particular NFT you are considering. Look beyond the floor price: compare the item’s attributes and seller, the available listings and bids, and the order details shown in Blur’s live interface. A floor price is only the lowest visible listing at a moment in time; it does not establish an NFT’s value or guarantee that a comparable sale will occur.

2. Choose whether to list or bid
A listing expresses your intent to sell at a stated price. A bid expresses your intent to buy at a stated price under the order’s conditions. Before approving a wallet action, confirm the asset or collection involved, the price, the network, any royalty or fee disclosure, and the details in the wallet’s transaction prompt. The sources do not establish a stable, current click-by-click workflow, so rely on the live interface and wallet prompt rather than assuming a particular button sequence.
3. Sweep only after checking every order
Sweeping means buying multiple available NFTs, often in one workflow. Blur says its sweep tool can reach listings across marketplaces, but availability and execution depend on the underlying orders and transaction conditions. Review the selected NFTs and total cost before confirming; a bulk action does not make each item a good value or remove transaction costs.

4. Treat reveal sniping and analytics as tools, not guarantees
Blur promotes reveal sniping and portfolio analytics. These may help active traders monitor activity or respond to newly revealed NFTs, but the product descriptions do not establish guaranteed speed, accuracy, or profit. Make decisions using the individual item and order details, not a feature label alone.
Check the full cost before signing
Blur’s homepage advertises “0%” marketplace fees, but that headline does not by itself establish the all-in cost of a particular purchase or sale. Marketplace fees and creator royalties are different: a marketplace fee is charged by the venue, while a royalty may be associated with the collection or creator. Blur’s governance forum contains proposals about fees and royalties, not proof that those proposals became policy. A November 2024 proposal discussed removing enforced creator royalties and adding a 0.5% protocol fee; an October 2023 discussion proposed a 1% base fee and token-holder discounts.
