How do I start demo trading on Delta Exchange?
- Open the official demo markets page. Start from Delta Exchange India’s demo trading guide and use its demo-market link. This directs you to the platform’s current entry point.
- Sign up for a demo account or log in. First-time users need to create demo credentials; returning users should enter the credentials they previously set up for the demo platform.
- Review the demo wallet. Check the virtual balance displayed there before practicing. It is not your live-account balance.
- Practice in the demo interface. The guide describes placing market and limit orders, trying long or short positions, practicing with leverage, and monitoring open positions and P&L. These are simulated actions, not live executions or evidence of how a future trade will perform.
Do I need a separate demo account?
Yes. Delta Exchange India’s demo guide says the demo platform requires a separate account, and credentials for a main Delta Exchange account will not work there. Use the demo sign-up or login flow linked from the demo markets page rather than assuming your live-account login applies.
If you are creating a regular India account rather than a demo login, Delta’s separate account-opening guide describes sign-up using Google, Apple, or email and password. That is a different account flow; follow the demo guide for demo-platform credentials.

Can I use demo funds in my live account?
No. Delta’s guide says demo funds are for practice and cannot be transferred or withdrawn. Demo activity and profits also do not apply to the live account, so treat the demo wallet and its results as separate from real-money trading.

Can I use Delta’s demo mode on a phone?
The help guide describes demo trading as browser-based and says there is no dedicated demo mobile app. It says users can use an updated browser on mobile or desktop. App and interface availability can change, so check the current official demo guide if the access options look different.

API access is optional; it is not needed to practice through the browser. For API users, Delta’s official API documentation identifies https://cdn-ind.testnet.deltaex.org as the demo-account testnet endpoint and says API keys created for a demo account must be used only with testnet APIs. Do not send demo credentials or keys to production endpoints.
