A JTX message saying a transaction was sent is not proof that Solana processed it. First copy the signature, identify the exact JTX order and slice state, then check that signature at an appropriate Solana commitment level. Only after you see a confirmed result—or a confirmed error—should you decide whether to wait, investigate, or submit a new order.
JTX is a self-custodial interface: your wallet authorizes transactions, while Solana, validators, RPC infrastructure and third-party protocols carry them out. JTX states that it does not control Solana or promise execution, fills, prices or timing, so a delayed or failed order must be diagnosed from the transaction record rather than from a generic banner.
What “submitted,” “delayed” and “failed” actually mean
These labels describe different points in the transaction path. Treating them as synonyms is the fastest way to create a duplicate order or misdiagnose a normal wait.

Solana’s sendTransaction method explicitly warns that a successful response does not guarantee processing or confirmation. The status endpoint getSignatureStatuses is the appropriate next check when you have a signature. A transaction-detail request can return null when the transaction is not found or is not confirmed at the commitment you requested, so record the commitment used with every lookup.
The diagnostic sequence

Record the order and signature before changing anything
Open JTX’s activity or wallet view and copy the full transaction signature, not a shortened display. Write down the token pair, direction, order type, amount, approximate submission time, wallet address and the exact message shown. Preserve screenshots if the message may disappear.

If the order is Smart Fill, record the state of the overall order and each visible slice. JTX’s terms allow slices to be pending, completed, cancelled, skipped or failed independently, so one failed slice does not describe every slice in the order.

Look up the signature on Solana
Use the transaction link supplied by the wallet or JTX, or a reliable Solana status source. The goal is to see whether the signature has a slot, confirmation status, error field and execution details. If you use an API,

Keep the signature and the time of each check so support can distinguish a late transaction from a transaction that was never observed.

Separate RPC acceptance from cluster confirmation
The first response from

Do not click a second submit button solely because the send call returned quickly or the JTX screen still says pending. Check the signature’s status first.

Read the returned error and logs
When Solana reports an error, open the transaction details and copy the exact error text and relevant program logs. A generic JTX label such as “failed” is less useful than the underlying code. Look for clues about a blockhash, fee balance, account or program validation, instruction failure, or compute-budget configuration.

Check the JTX order state against the chain result
A confirmed Solana transaction and a completed trading order are related but not interchangeable records. Review whether JTX marks the order pending, completed, cancelled, skipped or failed, and compare that state with the transaction’s instruction results. For Smart Fill, inspect every slice: a parent order can be partially filled while another slice is delayed or skipped.

If JTX and the chain disagree, do not create a replacement order until you have captured both views. The discrepancy is useful evidence for support.

Wait when the signature is still viable, but use evidence rather than a timer
Solana transactions include a recent blockhash and a last valid block height. Production guidance describes the blockhash lifetime as approximately 60–90 seconds, but the actual expiry is determined by the returned last valid block height, not by a fixed stopwatch. A transaction can therefore remain pending for a different length of time depending on network conditions and when it was built.

If the blockhash has expired, the application must build a fresh transaction with a new blockhash; resending the old signed payload is not a reliable repair.

Escalate with a complete evidence packet
Use the current support route shown in the JTX application or official site. Send the full signature, wallet address, order type, pair, amount, submission time and time zone, exact JTX status, exact Solana error or logs, commitment used for the lookup, and whether any slice completed. Explain whether you have already submitted another order.

JTX’s published terms do not establish a transaction-specific response-time guarantee or a permanent troubleshooting workflow. Confirm the current contact method at the time you ask for help rather than relying on an old bookmark.
How to interpret the most common failure causes

Why a confirmed error can still charge a fee
Solana executes a transaction as an atomic unit. Its transaction documentation states that if any instruction fails, the entire transaction fails and all state changes are reverted. The fee is a separate cost of processing the transaction and may still be charged even though the swap or other state change did not complete.

This explains a common misconception: seeing a fee deduction does not prove that the trade succeeded, and seeing no token movement does not prove that no transaction was processed. Use the signature’s execution result and the wallet balances together.

Every Solana transaction carries a recent blockhash so validators can reject stale or replayed payloads. Solana production guidance describes an approximate 60–90-second lifetime and recommends tracking the transaction’s last valid block height. The precise expiry belongs to the transaction, not to a universal JTX countdown.

There are two opposite retry mistakes:
- Retrying too soon: the first signature may still be pending and can land after the second order, creating duplicate exposure or an unintended second trade.
- Reusing an expired payload: an old signed transaction cannot be made valid by pressing send again; the application must construct a fresh transaction.
A safer decision rule is:
- Find and record the first signature.
- Check its status and error at a stated commitment.
- If it is confirmed successful, do not resubmit.
- If it is confirmed failed, read the cause and correct that cause before creating a new order.
- If it is unresolved, determine whether the last valid block height has passed and ask JTX to rebuild only when necessary.
- After any new submission, treat the new signature as a separate transaction and repeat the check.
Order-type behavior changes what “delayed” means
The right expectation depends on the order design selected in JTX. None of these order types guarantees a fill, a better price or a particular completion time.

JTX’s terms also state that Smart Fill does not come with a guarantee of lower price impact or lower cost. A slice that is skipped or delayed is an order-state event to reconcile, not automatically a Solana transaction failure.

Endpoint and network symptoms
Solana’s developer guidance emphasizes using suitable RPC capacity and keeping related operations on a healthy endpoint. If an endpoint is behind the cluster, it can produce confusing combinations: a blockhash appears current when it is not, simulation and send use different views, or confirmation checks lag behind a transaction that has already landed.
For a normal JTX user, endpoint health is usually something the service must manage. You can still improve diagnosis by checking the same signature through an independent, reputable status source, recording the commitment, and noting whether the JTX activity page updates later. Do not treat a temporary blank page as evidence that the order failed.
JTX’s terms disclose dependencies on Solana, infrastructure, validators and third-party services. Those dependencies can affect timing without indicating a problem with your wallet. Conversely, a healthy network does not guarantee that a particular instruction or trading route will succeed.
Information to collect before contacting support
- Full transaction signature, copied exactly.
- Wallet address that signed the transaction.
- Token pair, side and amount.
- Order type: market, limit or Smart Fill.
- For Smart Fill, parent state and each slice’s state.
- Approximate submission time with time zone.
- Exact JTX wording, including whether it says pending, completed, cancelled, skipped or failed.
- Solana commitment used for each lookup and the resulting status.
- Exact error, program log or transaction-detail text.
- Whether the first signature was still unresolved when any later order was submitted.
This information lets support investigate a transaction rather than guess from a screenshot. Never send a seed phrase or private key; a signature and public wallet address are the relevant identifiers for this diagnosis.

- Pause: do not submit a duplicate immediately.
- Copy the signature and order details.
- Check the signature with a stated Solana commitment.
- Read the error and logs if the transaction is confirmed failed.
- Compare the chain result with JTX’s order and slice state.
- Check blockhash validity or last valid block height when available.
- Retry only after success, confirmed failure with a corrected cause, or confirmed expiry.
- Escalate with the complete evidence packet if records disagree.
The key distinction is simple but consequential: an acknowledgement is a submission event, not a settlement result. Let the signature status, execution details and JTX order state determine what happened before you act again.
