But the documented features report address activity; they do not establish a built-in alert that fires only when a transfer exceeds an amount you choose. For a true “large transfer” alert, use a service that explicitly supports value thresholds or build a filter that evaluates transaction data and sends a notification.
Start with the address, network, and alert rule
Before setting up monitoring, identify the exact address and chain. Decide whether you need to know about incoming transfers, outgoing transfers, or both, and whether you want an alert while a transaction is pending or only after it is confirmed.
Define “large” before choosing a service. A threshold might be expressed in BTC or BNB, or as a fiat-equivalent value. A fiat threshold also requires a price source and a rule for when the conversion is made; the documented features below do not specify either.
- Coverage: Check whether the service sees native-coin transfers, token transfers, and activity routed through smart contracts.
- Threshold: Confirm that it supports an amount rule and whether the rule uses coin units or fiat value.
- Timing and delivery: Verify pending-versus-confirmed behavior and whether notifications arrive by email, push, messaging app, or webhook.
- Scale and privacy: Check address and API limits, and consider whether you are comfortable giving a third party the addresses you want monitored.
These are questions to verify with any provider; they are not features guaranteed by the services described here.

Set up Bitcoin address monitoring
Use mempool.space address updates
mempool.space documents a WebSocket API that can track one or more Bitcoin addresses and send updates for transactions involving them. Its documentation distinguishes new transactions entering the mempool from transactions included in confirmed blocks. The cited reference is under the Signet documentation path, so verify the production endpoint and its current usage limits before implementing a live monitor: mempool.space WebSocket API documentation.
- Choose the address or addresses you are authorized to monitor.
- Choose whether your application should alert on mempool activity, confirmed transactions, or both.
- Subscribe to address updates using the appropriate production WebSocket endpoint after confirming it in the current documentation.
- For a large-transfer rule, have your application evaluate each relevant transaction against your chosen BTC or fiat threshold, then send the notification through your chosen delivery channel.
The cited WebSocket documentation describes event tracking, not a ready-made amount threshold or an end-user email or push-alert workflow. It also notes usage limits and higher tracking limits for enterprise sponsorship. A custom monitor should handle reconnecting after a dropped connection, deduplicating events, and distinguishing pending from confirmed transactions.

The API can also track a transaction ID, which is useful for following a transaction you already know about. It is not a substitute for monitoring an address to discover future transfers.
Set up BNB Smart Chain address notifications
Use the BscScan Watch List for activity emails
BscScan’s Address Watch List can email about incoming or outgoing activity for listed BNB Smart Chain addresses. Its help article, last updated September 12, 2023, describes a limit of 50 watched addresses per user account. The instructions are to sign in, open the Watch List, choose Add, enter an address, and set notification preferences and transfer types. - Sign in to your BscScan account and open the Watch List.
- Select Add and enter the BNB Smart Chain address.
- Choose the transfer types and notification preferences you want, then save the entry.
- Confirm that the resulting email notices cover the activity you need; do not assume they are restricted to transfers above a chosen value.
The cited help page documents address-activity emails and transfer-type preferences, not a configurable large-value threshold.
Build a threshold around transfer events
For custom monitoring, BscScan’s API documentation describes access to BEP-20 transfer events by address. An application can evaluate event data against a value rule and send its own alert. The API overview states that data is updated every second and allows up to 30 calls per second; these are published documentation details, not independent performance measurements, and may change. Check current access requirements and limits before relying on them: BscScan API overview.

Decide whether the rule should cover only direct transfers or also contract-mediated activity. BscScan distinguishes normal transfers from internal transfers involving a smart contract, so a monitor limited to one transaction category may miss activity relevant to your use case. If you need only a notice that an address has activity, BscScan documents an email Watch List for BNB Smart Chain. If you need a threshold, pending-versus-confirmed logic, or a particular delivery channel, verify those capabilities directly with any provider or implement them in a monitor you control. The Bitcoin Developer Documentation describes retired legacy alert messaging in the peer-to-peer protocol; that is not the address-monitoring feature described here: Bitcoin P2P network documentation.
