That workflow is for certain person-to-person payments—not a universal way to find an unposted paycheck, mobile check, or retail cash deposit. For those, check your transaction history and verify the deposit details with the sender or provider.
How to find and accept a pending Cash App payment
- Open Cash App and tap Activity.
- Find and tap the payment labeled Pending.
- Tap Accept if the option appears.
Cash App says some payments arrive pending and require approval. If the payment is not listed, check whether your privacy settings allow people to request money from you. These instructions come from Cash App’s May 1, 2026 help article, “How to Send and Receive Money on Cash App”.
What kind of deposit are you waiting for?

Cash App’s US Terms of Service, last updated June 4, 2026, say transaction receipts are available in Activity and transaction history can be reviewed in the app or at cash.app/account.
If expected money is missing
Cash App’s help article recommends these checks when expected money has not arrived:

- Look for an identity-verification prompt in the app.
- Confirm the sender used your correct $cashtag, phone number, or email address.
- Update Cash App and check your internet connection.
- Sign out and back in, then review Activity again.
- For a person-to-person payment, ask the sender to confirm the payment source and status.
For direct deposits, check the deposit details with the employer or payroll provider. If the transaction still cannot be resolved, contact Cash App through in-app chat or its published support channels. Never share your password, PIN, or full debit card number when seeking help.
Does Cash App show direct deposits as pending?
Cash App describes direct deposits as generally processed as ACH transfers and credited to your Cash App Balance. Its direct-deposit page says funds may arrive up to two days early compared with many banks; that is Cash App’s product claim, not a guarantee for an individual deposit or an estimate of how long a pending item will take. Cash App also supports mobile check capture and paper-money deposits for eligible users. The official materials do not establish one pending-status screen or guaranteed posting time for every check or retail deposit. Do not use the person-to-person approval steps to infer that these deposit types are pending.

If you have checked Activity, verified the sender or deposit details with the appropriate provider, and completed the app checks above without resolving the issue, contact Cash App through in-app chat or a support channel listed in its Terms of Service. Cash App’s status page can also show reported service disruptions, but it does not diagnose an individual transaction.
