A Coinstar purchase made through Coinme is credited to your Coinme wallet automatically under the current published kiosk instructions—you generally do not enter receipt details or “redeem” the purchase on a blockchain. If you have an older, unredeemed paper voucher, use its complete Collection Code and follow its instructions. Sending crypto from Coinme to an outside blockchain wallet is a separate, optional transfer.
First, identify what you mean by “redeem”
Coinme voucher questions usually refer to one of two situations: collecting a Coinstar kiosk purchase into a Coinme Hosted Wallet, or dealing with a paper voucher that has not yet been collected. Neither is the same as sending cryptocurrency to an external blockchain address.

How a new Coinstar purchase reaches your Coinme wallet
Coinme’s currently published kiosk guide, dated February 2, 2026, describes the following process:
- Get an approved Coinme account before purchasing. The guide says an approved account is required.
- Use the phone number linked to that account at the kiosk. Coinme sends a six-digit verification code by SMS; enter it at the kiosk.
- Review the transaction information before confirming. Read the displayed disclosures, fees, and terms for your purchase.
- Check the Coinme wallet after the transaction completes. In this flow, the cryptocurrency is automatically added to the wallet. Coinme says you do not need to enter receipt information manually in the app.
That describes wallet crediting, not a blockchain withdrawal. The official instructions do not establish one universal screen-by-screen manual redemption path for every older voucher format or app version.

How to handle an unredeemed paper voucher
Coinme’s Terms say paper vouchers have no expiration date and are honored when presented with a complete Collection Code. They also say that a Coinme account and Hosted Wallet are required to collect purchased tokens. Coinme may hold uncollected tokens in a temporary wallet under its control until the collection steps are completed. Follow the specific voucher instructions; do not assume an older voucher uses the current kiosk flow.
If the voucher is missing from the wallet
Do not submit the same purchase again. Coinme’s documented route for an unredeemed Coinstar voucher is its reimbursement process: submit a reimbursement form ticket and provide the requested verification. Coinme describes ownership checks that can include a selfie holding the voucher. If you no longer have the voucher, it may request purchase details and additional verification.

Coinme says an approved reimbursement check is processed for delivery to a verified U.S. address within 10 business days after all requested documentation has been submitted and approved. That is a reimbursement timeline, not a promise about normal wallet-credit timing.
When a blockchain transfer is actually involved
If you want to move crypto from Coinme to another wallet, that is a separate action after the funds are in your Coinme wallet. Select the correct cryptocurrency and verify the destination address and network before sending. Coinme warns that each cryptocurrency has its own wallet address; using a different network or the wrong asset can result in loss. Its Terms say cryptocurrency transactions cannot be reversed once initiated and broadcast.

- Double check if the URL/website is genuine before entering card details online. Do not provide any gift card details (example: claim code) to someone you do not know or trust. There are a variety of scams in which fraudsters try to trick others into paying with gift cards.
- If you believe that your Card has been lost or stolen, notify Mastercard immediately by calling 1-833-791-7288. You will be asked to provide the Gift Card number and other identifying information.
- Use your Mastercard Gift Card in the U.S. everywhere Mastercard debit cards are accepted, including online. Your Amazon.com Balance cannot be used to purchase Mastercard gift cards.
Check the transfer details and any fees shown before confirming. Coinme says timing and fees are subject to the transaction disclosures and factors outside its control. A hardware wallet or other accessory is not required simply to collect a purchase into Coinme’s hosted wallet.

Coinme’s fee guide, published March 24, 2026, lists a 13.04%–22.5% cash-exchange fee for Coinstar purchases and says fees may vary by location. The guide lists a different fee structure for Coinme Cash, including a percentage exchange fee and a separate retailer service fee. Use the disclosures shown for your own transaction before confirming; the published range is not a guaranteed fee for every kiosk or purchase.
