Open the affected order in the Swiggy app and report the issue through in-app support as soon as possible. For a missing item, Swiggy’s published refund policy says to notify Customer Care through the platform before the order is marked delivered. Refunds and replacements depend on the item’s claim window, evidence, and policy conditions; neither is guaranteed.
Report the issue through the affected order
- Open the Swiggy app and select the Instamart order with the problem.
- Use the support options shown for that order and describe what is missing or damaged. The exact labels and prompts may vary; Swiggy’s public guidance does not establish a universal set of taps or issue categories.
- Follow any evidence requests in the claim flow. For a damaged item, it may be helpful to have clear photos of the item and its packaging ready, but Swiggy’s public policy does not prescribe a universal photo checklist.
Swiggy directs customers to in-app support for order issues and describes it as available 24/7. Its customer-care guidance says it has no official customer-care phone line: use Swiggy’s in-app support guidance.
When to report a missing item
Report a missing item before the order is marked delivered. Swiggy’s general refund policy says that items missing at delivery must be communicated to Customer Care through the platform before that status change. Do not wait until later to raise the issue if the delivery is still in progress.
For cash-on-delivery orders, Swiggy’s policy says customers are not required to pay for an order with damaged or tampered packaging, a wrong order, or missing items if they report the problem through the platform before the order is marked delivered. This describes Swiggy’s stated policy; it is not a general legal rule.

What to expect for damaged, incomplete, or incorrect items
Instamart’s cancellation and refund policy lists tampered or damaged packaging, incomplete orders, and incorrect items among the circumstances in which a refund or replacement may be available. Eligibility depends on the terms for the item, required evidence, and the claim review. The policy also says a resolution requires merchant permission. Check the claim window for that product
Instamart’s policy directs customers to the claim window shown on the product description page. There is no universal deadline established for every item. For example, one Instamart product listing says damaged or defective items may be eligible for a refund within three days, while incorrect-item requests are limited to items that are sealed, unopened, and unused. Those terms apply to that listing, not to all Instamart products. Check the relevant product listing.

Refunds and replacements are not automatic
The policy describes a possible refund of up to 100% of the item or order value, or a replacement, where the claim meets the applicable conditions. That is a stated maximum, not a promised amount or a measure of how often claims succeed. Provide the information requested in the app and wait for the claim review before assuming a particular outcome.

Swiggy says it has no official customer-care phone line and directs customers to in-app support. Do not share your account number, UPI PIN, CVV, OTP, or card details with anyone claiming to help with a claim.
