If your card’s own instructions direct you to redeem.giftcards.com, use that site to exchange the card’s prepaid value for electronic gift cards from participating merchants shown on your card. The site is not a universal activation portal: first check your card brand and its terms. The instructions below apply to the qualifying U.S. multi-merchant cards named in the applicable Pathward cardholder agreement, not every Giftcards.com card.
What is redeem.giftcards.com for?
For certain multi-merchant cards, redeem.giftcards.com is a redemption site where you spend the card’s prepaid stored value to purchase one or more electronic gift cards from merchants whose logos appear on the card. The card is not a bank account or a general-purpose credit card, and the agreement limits its use to purchases of those merchant gift cards through the named website. The agreement identifies One4all, Choice, Happy, TheChoiceCard, Giving Good, and Holiday Favorites products. Read the applicable cardholder agreement.

That does not mean every card sold under Giftcards.com or Blackhawk Network brands uses this redemption route. Giftcards.com’s product information distinguishes multi-merchant products from Visa and Mastercard gift cards, which have different acceptance rules. How to redeem the card
- Check the card and its supplied terms. Confirm that the card or its agreement names redeem.giftcards.com and identifies it as one of the relevant multi-merchant products. Use the website printed in your card materials rather than assuming a different card belongs there.
- Visit the official destination. Go to redeem.giftcards.com and follow the prompts currently shown for your card.
- Choose eligible merchant gift cards. Select from the merchants available for your card. Their minimum and maximum purchase amounts vary; the agreement says minimums are generally $5.
- Keep the total within the available balance. The card balance must cover the transaction. Review the amounts before completing the purchase, and retain the resulting electronic gift card details.
The cardholder agreement establishes the redemption purpose, but does not specify the current page’s field labels, buttons, or exact sequence. Follow the prompts on the live site; do not assume a particular card-number or PIN-entry process, or that every card requires a separate activation step.

Which card terms apply?
The restrictions below come from the cited Pathward agreement for the named multi-merchant cards only. Other cards bearing Giftcards.com or Blackhawk Network branding may have different terms.
- The card is prepaid, cannot be reloaded, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
- It is valid in the United States only; foreign transactions and recurring payments are not allowed.
- Under this agreement, the card and funds do not expire, and no usage fees are charged.
- Merchant gift card minimums and maximums vary. If less than $5 remains, that residual balance may be too small to purchase another merchant gift card. Contact customer service to ask about a refund of an unused remainder.
For other Giftcards.com and Blackhawk Network products, check the card’s own terms for fees, expiration, replacement rules, acceptance, and support. Blackhawk Network’s FAQ and support information lists separate support channels for different card types.

If redemption fails
- The card may use another redemption channel. Recheck its brand and supplied agreement. Visa and Mastercard products are not interchangeable with the multi-merchant cards described here.
- The purchase amount may not fit. The available balance must cover the transaction, and a merchant’s minimum or maximum may prevent a purchase at the amount selected.
- You may have a small leftover balance. A remainder below the generally stated $5 merchant minimum may not be enough to buy another gift card; ask customer service whether an unused remainder can be refunded.
- You need product-specific help. The agreement lists Redeem Giftcards support at 833-568-8729. Compare that number with the one printed on your own card, because products and support channels vary. Blackhawk Network also lists “Redeem Giftcards” at 833-568-8729 in its support information.
Protect the card’s code
Never give a redemption code or card number to a stranger, or use a gift card to pay a bill, government demand, or tech-support provider. Scammers may contact you by phone, text, email, or social media, create urgency, and ask for gift card codes as payment. The FTC’s guidance is direct: “Gift cards are for gifts, NOT for payments.” Read the FTC’s gift card scam guidance. If you already shared a code or paid a scammer, contact the company that issued the card immediately and report the incident to the FTC. Do not delay: the issuer is the appropriate first contact about compromised card value.
