How can you apply for Rs100-per-litre petrol relief?
The scheme is federal, and token redemption was extended nationwide in September 2026, so Punjab residents use the same process as eligible applicants elsewhere in Pakistan. - Register your vehicle: From the mobile SIM registered to the applicant’s CNIC, send an SMS to 9771 in this format:
REG <CNIC> <VehicleNumber> <ProvinceCode> <DDMMYYYY>. Enter the applicant’s CNIC, vehicle registration number, province initial and vehicle registration date. For Punjab, the province code is P. - Request a token: Before going to a filling station, send TOK to 9771. Wait for the token response.
- Redeem it at the pump: Present the token at a participating station. The operator verifies it and applies the relief to eligible petrol.

The scheme information portal says the SIM used to register must be registered to the same CNIC. The Press Information Department describes the benefit as intended for non-commercial users and limited to one vehicle per user or owner. How much can you save, and how often can you claim?
The reduction is Rs100 per eligible litre. The number of litres and the token schedule depend on vehicle class. At the full stated monthly quota, the arithmetic maximum is Rs2,000 for an eligible two- or three-wheeler and Rs3,000 for an eligible car. Those totals assume all monthly litres are used and do not represent a fixed fuel price: the amount payable changes with the prevailing official petrol price. What to check if you cannot claim the discount
- Confirm the vehicle meets the stated type, engine-capacity and first-registration-date criteria.
- Use the applicant’s CNIC and the SIM registered to that same CNIC; enter the vehicle number, Punjab code P, and registration date in the required format.
- Request a token by sending TOK before travelling to the pump, and check that it remains within its validity period.
- Use a participating station that can verify the token. A complete current list of participating Punjab stations and a specific scheme dispute channel are not established in the cited public information; check official scheme channels for current guidance before setting out.
What is known about the scheme’s reach?
Associated Press reported on 6 October 2026 that Pakistani officials said more than 9 million people were benefiting nationally. That is a Pakistan-wide figure, not a count of Punjab beneficiaries.
