There is no legitimate universal generator for free app-store credit. Real options are limited to rewards programs, official promotions, app-specific offers, and gifts. Which route works depends on whether you use Apple’s App Store or Google Play, your country, and the offer’s terms.
First, identify which store balance you need
Apple Account balance and Google Play balance are separate: a code for one store generally cannot be redeemed in the other. Apple Account balance can pay for eligible App Store purchases and other Apple services; Google Play balance applies to eligible Google Play purchases. Promotional credit may have different restrictions or an expiration date.

How to get Apple App Store credit
Look for current Apple or retailer promotions
Apple and participating retailers or developers may run gift-card promotions that include a bonus. These are not permanent rewards: eligibility, location, timing, and purchase requirements vary. Read the terms for the specific offer, including whether a qualifying purchase is required. Apple’s terms also allow promotions to be changed or ended.

Distinguish app-specific developer codes from store credit
An app developer can issue offer codes for eligible in-app purchases. A code may provide free or discounted access to a particular app feature or purchase, but it does not add general-purpose Apple Account balance. The developer sets the offer and its eligibility, which may be limited to certain customers or purchase histories. See Apple’s developer documentation.
Redeem an Apple gift card or code
- Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap the account or profile icon, then choose Redeem Gift Card or Code.
- Scan the code or enter it manually.
- Check that the displayed Apple Account is the one you intend to fund, then confirm redemption.
- Check the account balance before making a purchase.
Labels can vary by device, operating-system version, and code type. If the menu differs, follow Apple’s current instructions and the terms for the specific card or offer. Apple cards and codes are generally region-restricted; balances are generally not redeemable for cash or transferable, and a purchase that exceeds the balance may require another payment method. Treat the code as cash: someone who obtains it may redeem it.
How to get Google Play credit
Use Google Opinion Rewards on Android
Google Opinion Rewards is the clearest official route to occasional Google Play credit on Android. You answer market-research surveys, but their frequency and rewards vary with factors such as eligibility and available surveys; Google does not promise a fixed amount or schedule. Some setup questions do not pay. Answer honestly rather than trying to guess what will earn more.

- Install Google Opinion Rewards from the official app store.
- Sign in with the Google Account you want to receive the rewards.
- Complete the profile questions truthfully and enable notifications if you want alerts about available surveys.
- Answer surveys honestly, then check the app’s reward history and the Play balance on that same account.
- Use promotional credit before any expiration date shown for it.
Google’s program pays Android users in Google Play credits; iOS users generally receive PayPal cash instead. Rewards and histories do not transfer between platforms. Check Google Play promotions and codes
Google Play may offer promotional codes or account-specific offers. Availability can depend on country, account settings, activity, and the promotion’s own terms; some offers are discounts rather than general balance. Promotional codes can expire, so check the stated deadline and restrictions at issuance. Google describes current offer and promotion rules here.
Redeem a Google Play code
- On Android, open the Google Play Store app and tap the profile icon.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Redeem code.
- Enter the code and confirm which Google Account will receive it.
- Review the result and check the balance or offer on that account.
On a computer, go to play.google.com/redeem, enter the code, select Redeem, review the receiving account, and select Confirm. Google’s redemption instructions may change as interfaces are updated.

Google Play gift cards and codes are subject to country restrictions: the account country must match the offer, and physical location may also matter. Redeemed balance normally cannot be transferred to another Google Account or refunded except where required by law. Promotional balance can expire, and a balance-limit error may require spending some balance, waiting 24 hours, and trying again. Other legitimate routes—and what they provide
Microsoft Rewards
Microsoft Rewards lets eligible users earn points through available activities and redeem them for options in their country’s current catalog. A free Microsoft account is sufficient, but activities and rewards vary by region. It is an indirect route: do not assume Apple or Google gift cards are available until you check the catalog. Microsoft describes program availability and redemption.
Gifts, giveaways, and qualifying offers
A trusted person, employer, school, developer, or legitimate promotion may provide a real gift card or code. Confirm the issuer, store, country, expiration, and any purchase requirement. Redeem only through the relevant store or the issuer’s official site, and never send the code to someone who says they need it to verify you.

If you want an app or game, not general balance
Check the store’s free-app listings, legitimate developer promotions, or an app’s free tier. A free trial may renew into a paid subscription, so check its renewal terms first. Family sharing is an option only when used with the account owner’s permission and within the platform’s rules. None of these creates transferable store credit; a developer offer code usually applies only to the specified app or purchase.

No. A site promising unlimited, instant, or secret Apple or Google codes is not a legitimate way to earn store credit. Fake generators commonly use the promise of a code to collect personal information, prompt a suspicious installation, or trick users into handing over a real redemption code.
- Leave if a site asks for a gift-card code, password, payment details, or a fee to unlock a reward.
- Do not complete “human verification” by installing unknown apps or sharing credentials.
- Treat countdowns, guaranteed balance claims, and pressure to share links as warning signs.
- Do not use VPNs, fake accounts, bots, or false survey answers to bypass country or program rules.

Choose a method that fits your goal

For Apple users, watch for official promotions, legitimate gifts, and developer offers; for an app-specific discount, ask the developer whether it has an authorized offer. For Android users seeking small, occasional Play credits, Google Opinion Rewards is the most direct official option, though surveys are not guaranteed. If you need credit immediately, a genuine gift or a current qualifying promotion is more realistic than earning it through surveys.
If a code or balance has a problem
The code is invalid, expired, or already redeemed
- Recheck each character and remove spaces or dashes if the platform’s instructions say to do so.
- Confirm the code is for the correct store and country, and check whether it has expired or was already redeemed.
- Contact the official issuer or retailer with proof of purchase; do not trust a site that displayed or sold a questionable code.

The code redeemed, but the credit is missing
Check the account shown at redemption and the balance page for that account. A promotion may appear as an offer applied at checkout rather than ordinary balance. If a Google Opinion Rewards payment is missing, follow Google’s troubleshooting guidance; Google advises checking after up to seven days and then using the app’s feedback option if needed.

Check whether promotional credit expired, a purchase used the balance, you switched accounts, or an adjustment reversed the credit. A compromised code or account is another possibility. Expiration depends on the balance type, country, and terms shown when the credit was issued; there is no single expiration rule for every balance.
You already sent a code or paid a scammer
- Stop communicating and do not send more codes or money.
- Contact Apple or Google through official support, and contact the retailer promptly if the card was recently purchased.
- Keep receipts, messages, screenshots, phone numbers, and transaction details.
- In the U.S., report the incident to the FTC and local law enforcement. Change account passwords if you shared credentials, and review account activity and payment methods.
