Choose the complaint type that matches your order
Use the affected order’s Help menu rather than starting with a general contact form. DoorDash’s instructions distinguish an order that never arrived from a delivered order with an item missing or incorrect.

Report the issue from the app or website
- Open Orders. In the DoorDash app or on the website, find the order with the problem.
- Select the order and choose Help. This opens the order-specific support options.
- Choose the accurate issue. Select “Order never arrived” if nothing was delivered. For an order that arrived with missing or incorrect items, choose the corresponding item option; if the entire order was wrong, DoorDash directs customers to report it as “Order never arrived” under Order Issues.
- Describe what happened and add useful evidence. For missing or incorrect items, include clear photos and a receipt if available.
- Review the options shown and follow the prompts. Depending on the circumstances, DoorDash may offer a resolution or a chat with an agent.
What evidence to include for missing or incorrect items
DoorDash recommends photos that are original, clear, and show all delivered items unwrapped. Include the receipt if you have it, plus an image that directly demonstrates the problem. For example, show the opened bag when reporting a missing item, or photograph the item that arrived in place of the one you ordered. A receipt or photo can help explain the complaint; DoorDash’s guidance does not make buying special equipment a requirement.
Grocery Quality Guarantee: eligibility and deadline
The grocery Quality Guarantee is a limited program, not a general refund policy for DoorDash orders. To use it, the grocery store’s page must have displayed a “Quality Guarantee” or “Freshness Guarantee” banner before checkout. Report a qualifying issue through the app or website self-help tool within 24 hours of receiving the order, using the applicable reason code.
DoorDash says eligible customers may receive a refund or credit up to the amount paid for the affected item, subject to its discretion and the terms. Alcohol and gift cards are excluded. The 24-hour deadline applies to this guarantee, not to all DoorDash complaints.
