The clearest recent public benchmark is a 2026 GE-reported $30 million purchase of 21 CT systems by St. Luke’s University Health Network. Dividing the total by 21 gives about $1.43 million per system, but that is only a fleet-deal average—not a quoted price for one scanner or a standard price for a typical buyer.
What the $30 million GE transaction tells you—and what it does not
In a 2026 investor release, GE HealthCare said St. Luke’s University Health Network selected 21 CT systems in a $30 million purchase. The arithmetic average is approximately $1.43 million per system ($30 million divided by 21). GE HealthCare’s announcement does not identify a per-unit price, establish that all systems had the same configuration, or itemize how the total was allocated among equipment, software, service, or other project components.
Use the figure as evidence that a large, multi-system deal was reported at that total—not as a reliable budget for a single scanner. The announcement also references GE’s Smart Subscription in the context of the fleet purchase, but does not disclose a separate subscription price.
How to get a price for a new GE CT scanner
GE’s U.S. CT portfolio uses the call to action “Request price and product info,” rather than publishing a universal list price. Start at the GE HealthCare CT portfolio and request a quote for the specific system and configuration under consideration. Because the public page does not provide an itemized price, a vendor quote is needed to establish what a proposed purchase actually costs.

What to compare in vendor quotes
Ask GE or the authorized supplier to identify what is included, excluded, or priced separately. The public materials do not establish standard charges for these items, so treat them as quote questions rather than assumed costs:
- Equipment: model and exact hardware configuration.
- Software: included applications, updates, and any subscription terms, including the scope and price of Smart Subscription if offered.
- Installation and site preparation: whether either is part of the proposal and who is responsible for any facility work.
- Warranty and service: coverage period, service terms, and whether the tube is covered.
- Other project items: any additional equipment or services bundled into the total.
Compare proposals only after confirming that they cover the same configuration and scope. A headline total alone can conceal differences in software, service, or project responsibilities.
What GE GoldSeal refurbished systems offer
GE GoldSeal is GE’s official refurbished-system channel. GE describes systems refurbished to OEM specifications and a parts-and-labor warranty; extended warranties and service contracts are also available. Availability depends on current inventory, and the cited GoldSeal pages do not publish current prices. See GE GoldSeal Refurbished Imaging & Ultrasound Systems and its GoldSeal CT page.
One named example is the GoldSeal Optima CT540. GE’s page describes a 32-slice system configured with ASiR, a new tube, and Smart MAR software, and directs buyers to request a quote. The page carries a January 2024 document mark; verify the current configuration and whether the system is available before treating it as an option. Its listed features do not establish a current price or prove that a particular unit is in stock.

Bottom line for budgeting
There is no published universal U.S. GE CT scanner price in the cited materials. The approximately $1.43 million figure is an arithmetic average from one disclosed 2026 fleet transaction, not an individual-system quote. For a usable budget, request a current, configuration-specific proposal and have the supplier itemize the equipment, software, installation, facility preparation, warranty, service, and other included project items.
