To earn merchant cash back in Samsung Wallet, open a participating offer in the Wallet app, follow its link to the merchant, and complete the purchase on your phone without switching devices or navigating away during checkout. Check that offer’s terms first: rates, qualifying purchases, coupon rules, and return periods vary by merchant.
How to earn cash back through Samsung Wallet

Open Samsung Wallet and find Cash Back Awards. The tab or menu label can vary by app version.

Browse the offers, choose a merchant, and read the offer’s terms before shopping. Confirm the eligible items, order requirements, and coupon or promo-code rules.

Tap the option to earn cash back. If Wallet offers a choice, select the merchant’s app or website to open the shopping link.

Shop and finish checkout on your phone through that opened link. Don’t move checkout to a computer or another device, or navigate away during checkout; Samsung’s instructions say purchases may not track if you do.

Return to Cash Back Awards to check the history and see pending, available, and total earned amounts, along with recent purchase information.
Samsung’s U.S. support instructions put it simply: “To start earning cash back, you need to set it up in Samsung Wallet.” Samsung Wallet cash back awards.
What determines whether a purchase qualifies
An offer only applies to participating merchants and qualifying purchases. The terms shown for the selected offer govern eligible products, minimum order values, exclusions, and other conditions. Check them in Wallet immediately before shopping, since offers and rates can change. Samsung’s cash back instructions and cash back terms guidance explain that merchant conditions matter.

Coupons and codes: A coupon or promo code excluded by the merchant’s terms can make an order ineligible.

Shopping path: Start from the Wallet offer and complete the purchase on the phone through its merchant link. Adding an item to a mobile cart and completing checkout later on a computer is not the supported workflow.

Returns and adjustments: Cash back remains pending until the merchant’s return period ends. A return, refund, or other order adjustment can reduce or disqualify the award. Each merchant sets its own return period. Samsung’s guidance on cash back timing and eligibility.
How rates, tracking, and redemption work
Rates depend on the merchant
There is no single Samsung Wallet cash-back rate. Samsung’s U.S. support page gives 2% and 5% as examples of what some stores might offer; those figures are illustrative, not a guaranteed rate for a particular merchant. Check the live offer in Wallet. Samsung Wallet cash back awards.

Tracking notifications are different from the pending period
Samsung says a cash-back notification may take up to 24 hours to appear. Another U.S. support page says order reporting for some merchants may take up to 32 hours. These are possible reporting delays, not the time needed for pending cash back to become available. Availability depends on the merchant’s return period. Redeem available cash back
Current Samsung U.S. support says you need at least $5 in available cash back to redeem. The balance is converted to a Samsung Rewards card, described in current U.S. support as a Mastercard. Review the cardholder terms in Wallet before accepting or redeeming; card and program details can change. Samsung’s current redemption instructions.
Samsung Wallet cash back is not Samsung Rewards points
Samsung Wallet merchant cash back comes from a participating retailer’s offer that you activate through a Wallet link. It depends on the merchant’s purchase conditions and return period.
Samsung Rewards points are a separate program. Points may be earned through eligible Samsung purchases and other program methods, and may be used toward eligible Samsung purchases subject to enrollment, account sign-in, qualifying-spend, and redemption rules. If you are checking an account activity or asking about a redemption, first identify whether it is a Wallet merchant cash-back award or Samsung Rewards points. The rates, tracking, and redemption rules are different.

The offer’s merchant terms in Wallet control that transaction. Samsung’s U.S. guidance does not establish one universal rate, return period, or set of exclusions for all merchants. Offer inventory and terms can also differ by location or account, so verify the details in the app before placing an order.
