Your associated Rewards points will be lost, and some purchase-history information may be retained when required by law. Before you start, redeem any points you want to use and take care of open orders, returns, appointments, or subscriptions.
Before you delete your account
Account deletion is the most comprehensive option if you intend to stop using Ulta and want to request deletion of associated personal information. It is more consequential than opting out of marketing or removing a saved card. Ulta’s Privacy Policy, listed as updated May 1, 2026, says account deletion forfeits associated Rewards points and is subject to legal exceptions for information Ulta may need to retain. Read Ulta’s Privacy Policy before submitting a request.
- Decide what to do with Rewards points. Redeem eligible points first if you want to use them. Ulta’s Rewards Terms and Conditions also say unused points are forfeited when a member cancels the Rewards online account.
- Save records you may need. Download or otherwise keep relevant receipts, order details, and Rewards information before you lose account access.
- Check for unfinished activity. Review open orders, returns or refunds, salon appointments, pending points or adjustments, and Replenish & Save subscriptions. Ulta does not state that account deletion automatically cancels or resolves all of these. Its policy says subscription information can be reviewed or updated in the account’s Replenish & Save section or through Guest Services.
- Separate your payment and credit accounts. You can remove a saved payment card without deleting your Ulta account. If you have an Ulta Beauty Rewards Mastercard, handle that credit-card account separately.
How to request deletion in the Ulta app
Ulta documents account deletion through its mobile application and says it sends an identity-confirmation email after you submit the request. Its public policy does not document every screen or button label, so treat the account-settings directions below as a guide rather than a guaranteed menu path. The policy’s deletion section is specifically headed “Delete Your Ulta Beauty Account on the iPhone”; it does not establish that Android screens or labels are identical.
- Open the Ulta Beauty app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open the account or profile area and look in account settings or privacy/account-management options for the account-deletion control.
- Follow the in-app instructions to submit the deletion request. Check the details before confirming, particularly if you still have points or unresolved transactions.
- Open the email address associated with your Ulta account and follow Ulta’s identity-confirmation instructions to finalize deletion.
Ulta does not publish a completion timeframe in the cited policy. Keep access to the associated email while the request is in progress, and do not assume the request is final until you have completed the email confirmation.

If you cannot find the option or finish the request
The app has no deletion control
Update the app through your device’s app store, sign in again, and check the account and privacy settings once more. The feature may appear under different labels depending on the current app interface. If the option remains unavailable, contact Guest Services or use Ulta’s privacy/data-request process to ask for account and personal-information deletion. Ulta’s policy describes data requests as subject to applicable exceptions.
You cannot sign in or no longer have the account email
Try Ulta’s account-recovery process first. If you still cannot access the account or confirmation email, contact Guest Services and explain that you want to delete the account but cannot complete the in-app verification. Ulta may need to verify your identity through support; do not send sensitive payment details as a substitute.

The confirmation email does not arrive
- Check spam, junk, promotions, and other filtered folders.
- Make sure you are checking the email address associated with the Ulta account.
- If it still does not arrive, contact Guest Services rather than repeatedly submitting duplicate requests.
Contact Ulta
Ulta lists Guest Services at 1-866-983-8582, by text at 309-650-8582, and through chat listed as available from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Central Time, seven days a week. Email and contact-form options are also available on its Guest Services page. For a written request, include your name, account email, and Rewards ID if available, and clearly state that you are requesting account deletion and deletion of associated personal information. Ulta’s contact form warns not to put credit-card, gift-card, or eGift-card numbers in the comment box. The Privacy Policy lists [email protected] for privacy-policy questions; it does not identify that address as a faster route for account deletion.
What account deletion does—and does not—remove
Rewards points and account access
Ulta says deleting the account means losing points associated with the Ulta Beauty Rewards account. Do not count on recovering access to account-linked shopping information after deletion; save records you need beforehand. Ulta’s policy does not specify how pending points, returns, or adjustments are handled, so ask Guest Services about those before proceeding.

Personal information and purchase records
Deletion is not a promise that every record disappears immediately. Ulta says it may retain some purchase-history information when required by applicable law, and its broader data-deletion rights are subject to exceptions. The policy does not give a universal deletion-completion deadline or guarantee erasure of every record.
App installation and device information
Uninstalling the Ulta app is not account deletion. Ulta also says uninstalling the app does not remove the device identifier associated with your previous activity. Submit the account request separately if you want the account deleted.

Community posts and reviews
If you want Community content removed, Ulta says you can request removal of content or information posted through the Community, but historical copies may remain on its systems. Its Terms and Conditions say Community users can make a profile private by deleting that profile; that is not necessarily the same action as deleting the full shopping account.
Ulta Beauty Rewards Mastercard
Do not assume deleting your Ulta shopping or Rewards account closes a separately issued Mastercard account. Ulta’s Rewards FAQ says to call the number on the back of the card or 866-257-9195 to manage or close the card. Keep any statements or other records you may need before requesting deletion of your Ulta account.

When a narrower option is better
Stop promotional emails or texts
If you only want fewer marketing messages, keep the account and change promotional preferences through My Account on the website or in the app, or contact Guest Services. Ulta says it may take 6–8 weeks for promotional communications to stop after preferences are updated. This option avoids forfeiting Rewards points solely to stop marketing.
Remove a saved payment card
To remove a stored card without closing the account, sign in, open Payment Methods, select the saved payment method, and choose the option to delete the card. Ulta lists this process on its Guest Services page.
Address a specific account issue
If your concern is an appointment, a return, an order, a subscription, or Community content, contact Ulta about that item before deleting the broader account. For Replenish & Save, review the subscription in the account’s Replenish & Save section or ask Guest Services for help. Deleting the account should not be treated as confirmation that a separate transaction or financial product has been canceled.
After you submit the request
Complete the identity-confirmation instructions in Ulta’s email and retain any confirmation you receive. If you change your mind before finalizing, pause and contact Guest Services; as a precaution, assume a completed deletion may be difficult or impossible to reverse. If you only meant to stop messages or remove a card, use the narrower preference or payment-method option instead.
