For ordinary Walmart shopping problems, use the official Walmart Help Center first or call Walmart customer service at 1-800-925-6278 (1-800-WALMART). The Help Center can direct you to order tracking, returns, refunds, pickup and delivery, account security, Walmart+ and Marketplace support. Black Friday 2024 is historical, so its sale dates and deadlines should not be confused with current Walmart promotions or policies.

Walmart’s official phone number
Walmart publishes 1-800-925-6278—also written as 1-800-WALMART—as its general customer-service number. Walmart does not publish a universal support schedule on the cited corporate contact page, so do not assume a particular phone availability window.

Calling can be useful when an automated workflow fails, the issue is complicated, or the matter involves account or payment concerns. For a routine order problem, starting with the order-specific Help Center workflow may expose tracking, cancellation, return or refund options more directly.

How to use Walmart’s Help Center or chat
- Go to walmart.com/help by typing the address yourself or using the Walmart app.
- Select the closest topic, such as Track Your Order, Edit or Cancel an Order, Pickup and Delivery, Missing Items, Order Not Received, Refunds, Start an Online Return, Payment Methods, Account Security and Unrecognized Charges or Orders, or Walmart+ Billing and Payments.
- Use the search field if the category is unclear.
- Choose chat when it is offered. If prompted, sign in and select the affected order so Walmart can access the relevant order information.
Help Center categories and app labels can change. If the app’s navigation differs, use the web Help Center as the stable starting point.

Black Friday 2024 was a series of events
Walmart did not limit its 2024 Black Friday promotion to November 29. According to Walmart’s October 2024 announcement, the schedule included:
- Event 1: online November 11 at noon Eastern for paid Walmart+ members and 5 p.m. Eastern for all customers; stores opened for the event November 15 at 6 a.m. local time.
- Event 2: online November 25 at noon Eastern for paid Walmart+ members and 5 p.m. Eastern for all customers; stores opened November 29 at 6 a.m. local time.
- Cyber Monday: online December 1 at 5 p.m. Eastern for paid Walmart+ members and 8 p.m. Eastern for all customers.
Walmart’s November 18 update described the November 25 online event, November 29 in-store event and Cyber Monday continuation through December 2. These dates are historical; they are not current sale times.
What to do about common Black Friday problems
A deal disappeared or went out of stock
Save the product page, advertised price, item number and time of the offer. Customer service may investigate an incorrect listing or charge, but it cannot be assumed to create inventory, reserve a sold-out product or replace it with another item. A product page being visible does not necessarily mean the item is available to purchase.

The price changed
Identify whether the difference occurred between the product page and checkout, between checkout and the receipt, or after purchase. For an in-store dispute, take the receipt and a screenshot or advertisement to the store’s customer-service desk. For an online order, use the order-specific Help Center route. Do not assume Walmart will automatically price-match a Black Friday deal or issue a post-purchase adjustment.
A Walmart+ early-access benefit did not work
Use the Walmart+ account or billing support topic and provide the membership email, order information and promotion details. The early-access times above applied to Walmart’s 2024 events only.
An order was canceled
Open the order notice and confirm whether the order was canceled, whether the payment is merely authorized or actually charged, and whether the order contained multiple shipments. Contact Walmart through the order workflow or by phone with the cancellation notice. Customer service can investigate the order, but a confirmation does not guarantee final fulfillment.

Pickup or delivery failed
Check whether the order says delayed, canceled, delivered or ready for pickup. For pickup, confirm the selected store and order number before traveling. For delivery, document the delivery date, missing items, substitutions, photographs where relevant and whether a carrier or Marketplace seller handled fulfillment.
An item is missing or incorrect
Check for split shipments, substitutions and separate packing information before reporting fraud. Then use the Help Center’s Missing Items or Order Not Received workflow. Have the order number and the specific missing or incorrect item ready.
A return was rejected or a refund is missing
Start an eligible online return through the Walmart app or Purchase History online. Keep the receipt, return tracking information and refund confirmation. Eligibility and timing can vary by product, seller, payment method and condition.

Marketplace orders need separate attention
First determine whether the item was sold and shipped by Walmart or by a third-party Marketplace seller. Open the order in purchase history and use its seller contact, return or help options. A Walmart store generally cannot resolve a third-party seller’s fulfillment or return decision.
Walmart’s current standard return policy says most Walmart.com purchases generally have a 90-day return period, while Marketplace items may generally have a 30-day period, subject to exceptions. Product category, seller participation and later policy changes can affect eligibility.
Current return-policy information versus 2024 rules
The current policy page states that most online or in-store items generally have 90 days for return, most consumer electronics generally have 30 days, and wireless phones generally have 14 days. It also describes an extended holiday rule under which qualifying purchases made October 1 through December 31 may be returnable until January 31, with exceptions and Marketplace qualifications.

Those are current-policy statements, not proof of every rule that applied to a Black Friday 2024 purchase. For a 2024 transaction, check the order’s return terms, receipt and the policy version applicable to that purchase. Never assume every holiday purchase qualifies for the January 31 date.
Store-level help
- Find the correct location in Walmart’s store directory.
- Check current local hours before traveling.
- Ask for the customer-service desk or store management.
- Bring the receipt, payment card used for the purchase and product if a return or exchange is involved.
Store hours and local practices vary. A store may not honor an online price, hold a sold-out item or handle a Marketplace dispute.
Prepare before contacting Walmart
- Order number, receipt or gift receipt.
- Name, email address and phone number on the account.
- Store location and purchase date for an in-store issue.
- Item name, model, SKU or UPC.
- Screenshots of the advertised price, promotion or error.
- Delivery, pickup or shipping status.
- Only the last four digits of the payment method—not the full card number, password or one-time security code.
- A specific requested resolution, such as a refund, replacement, cancellation, investigation or escalation.
If the first contact does not solve the problem
Save chat transcripts, emails, screenshots and any case or interaction reference. Recontact Walmart through the order-specific Help Center route and clearly explain what was already attempted. For an unauthorized payment, secure the Walmart account and contact the card issuer or payment provider through its official channel. Do not dispute a legitimate charge merely because a shipment is delayed; first determine whether it is a temporary authorization, split shipment or completed transaction.

Avoid Walmart customer-service scams
- Type Walmart.com yourself or use the official Walmart app.
- Use the phone number published on Walmart’s official corporate contact page.
- Do not trust phone numbers from unsolicited calls, social posts, advertisements or unofficial directories.
- Never provide a password, full payment-card number or one-time authentication code to an unsolicited caller.
- Do not post order or payment details publicly. Walmart Help’s X account may be an optional public-facing route, but private account issues belong in Walmart’s secure support channels.
