To move an asset from Ethereum to Solana, use a bridge or cross-chain transfer service that currently supports the Ethereum-to-Solana route and your exact source asset. Select Ethereum as the source and Solana as the destination, inspect the live quote and the token you will receive, then submit the source transaction and follow the transfer status. The result may be a wrapped representation or a cross-chain swap—not necessarily the same asset in its native Solana form.
What “bridging” from Ethereum to Solana means
A bridge moves value between networks, but the asset arriving on Solana may not be identical to the asset you sent on Ethereum. Some routes issue a wrapped representation on the destination chain; others arrange a cross-chain transfer or swap. Wormhole documentation describes wrapped-token transfers and return transfers that use burn-and-unlock behavior. Check the destination token’s exact identity and provenance before swapping, depositing, or treating it as interchangeable with another token bearing the same ticker.
For example, sending an ERC-20 stablecoin does not guarantee that you will receive the native Solana version of a stablecoin with the same name. The route and service determine what arrives.
Before you start
- Confirm that the service currently offers Ethereum as the source, Solana as the destination, and a route for your particular asset. Supported tokens and routes can change. Allbridge Core documents support for Ethereum and Solana, but directs users to check the live interface for currently supported assets: Allbridge Core documentation.
- Have access to the Ethereum wallet holding the asset and a Solana-compatible destination address.
- Make sure the Ethereum wallet has enough ETH to pay the source transaction’s gas. The transfer may also incur bridge, liquidity, route, or destination-execution fees; use the live quote rather than an old fee table.
- Check whether the destination wallet needs SOL for a follow-up transaction, such as claiming or receiving funds. Some interfaces require a separate destination action, while some offer relaying for a fee.
- Use the service’s official website and verify the domain independently before connecting a wallet. A contract listing alone does not prove that a particular network is currently connected to a product.
How to bridge from Ethereum to Solana
- Open a supported service. Navigate to the official interface of a service that explicitly supports the Ethereum-to-Solana route and your asset. Wormhole Portal offers route parameters that can preselect networks, but its FAQ warns that permissionless deployment does not automatically make a token available in Portal. - Select the networks and connect wallets. Set Ethereum as the source and Solana as the destination. Connect the Ethereum wallet that holds the asset and provide or connect the intended Solana destination address. Check the address carefully before continuing.
- Choose the exact asset and amount. Confirm the source token’s network and identity, then enter the amount. Do not assume that a token with a familiar symbol is supported or that its Solana counterpart is the native token you expect.
- Review the live quote and route. Check the estimated destination amount, fees, price impact or slippage, destination token identity, transfer mechanism, and any required destination action. Allbridge Core documents optional destination-gas top-up and CCTP/OFT alternatives on selected routes; whether those choices are available for your transfer depends on the live interface.
- Submit the Ethereum transaction. Review the wallet’s transaction details and sign only if they match the transfer you intend to make. Save the transaction hash so you can track the source transaction.
- Monitor and complete the transfer. Follow the transfer status in the service’s interface and complete a claim or receive step only if that specific transfer instructs you to do so. A pending transfer is not a reason to submit the same transfer again.
- Verify the destination receipt. Check the Solana wallet and confirm the received token’s mint or asset identity through a trustworthy source before using it.
How to compare routes
If more than one route is available, compare them for the same asset and amount. A low displayed fee alone does not establish that a route is cheaper overall, and there is no reliable universal “best,” “cheapest,” or “fastest” option without comparable current quotes.

Fees, timing, and transfer status
Ethereum gas is paid for the source transaction, while additional costs can come from the bridge or route, liquidity, and destination execution. These costs depend on route conditions, so a historical fee figure may not describe your transfer. Read the quote immediately before signing.
Transfer interfaces do not all handle delivery the same way. Depending on the mechanism, you may need to complete a destination-chain claim, or the service may offer a relayer that completes delivery for a fee. Follow the status and instructions attached to your transfer rather than assuming it is complete as soon as the Ethereum transaction is submitted. Risks to understand
Bridging adds risks beyond holding an asset on a single chain. Ethereum.org identifies smart-contract risk, systemic risk associated with wrapped assets, and counterparty risk for bridge designs that rely on third parties. Congestion and network attacks can also create unresolved behavior. An audit or official interface does not make a route risk-free. See Ethereum.org’s bridge overview.
- Verify the official service domain and the Solana destination address before approving a transaction.
- Check the received token’s identity to avoid lookalikes or mistakenly treating a wrapped token as a native asset.
- Consider a small test transfer when the cost is proportionate to the amount and fees involved.
- Do not repeat a transfer while the first one is pending; check its transaction hash and service status first.
Check current support, not legacy instructions
Product support and connected networks can change. Wormhole’s contract reference lists Ethereum and Solana contracts but cautions that a listed contract does not guarantee that a chain is currently connected to a product: Wormhole contract addresses.
