To book an Emirates student fare, join Emirates Skywards, sign in, search for your flights and enter the promo code STUDENT during booking. The offer is for eligible full-time students aged 16 through 31 on the outbound travel date. Emirates advertises up to 10% off selected Economy fares and up to 5% off selected Premium Economy and Business fares, excluding taxes and surcharges. You must bring proof of student eligibility to the airport.
Who is eligible for the Emirates student discount?
You must be an Emirates Skywards member and a full-time student aged 16 through 31 on the date your outbound flight departs. The eligibility window starts on your 16th birthday and ends the day before your 32nd birthday. Emirates also lists travel for a graduation ceremony, subject to the required proof.
Emirates describes the offer on its official US English student-fares page. The page does not show a publication date, and eligibility, available fares and offer terms should be checked in the live booking flow.
How to book an Emirates student fare
- Check eligibility. Confirm the traveler is a qualifying full-time student and will be within the age range on the outbound flight date. For graduation travel, make sure the traveler can provide the invitation evidence Emirates requests.
- Join Emirates Skywards. Membership is required for the offer. Sign in to the account before searching for flights.
- Search and enter the code. Choose the itinerary and enter STUDENT during the booking process.
- Check the fare and total. Review whether the selected fare category receives a discount, then compare the final price after taxes and surcharges.
- Read the fare conditions before paying. Check baggage, changes and cancellation terms for the fare and route you selected.
- Bring proof to the airport. Carry the required student ID, acceptance letter or graduation invitation for check-in.
Emirates says one student fare may be booked per booking. The offer cannot be combined with other promotions, discounts or corporate fares unless the offer terms explicitly say otherwise.

How much is the student discount?
Emirates advertises maximum discounts of up to 10% in Economy and up to 5% in Premium Economy and Business on selected fare categories. These percentages exclude taxes and surcharges; they are not guaranteed savings on every flight or fare. Check the price and conditions shown for your itinerary before purchasing.
What proof do you need at check-in?
Bring a valid student ID or an acceptance letter from an accredited high school, college, educational institution or university. For a graduation trip, Emirates lists an invitation to the graduation ceremony as evidence.
If Emirates requests proof and you cannot provide valid documentation, the student benefits may be forfeited. The ticket may be reissued at the applicable fare on the departure date, with the fare difference due.
Do students get extra baggage or flexible changes?
Extra baggage
The offer provides an additional 10 kg or one extra piece, whichever applies, on top of the standard baggage allowance. Journeys to or from the United States and Canada are exceptions: standard baggage rules apply. Confirm the allowance for the route and ticket in the booking conditions.

Changes and cancellations
Under the current offer terms, Flex and Flex Plus fares allow a free date change. For travel on or after October 1, 2026, Saver fares have a USD 50 change charge. Fare differences and no-show charges may also apply, and cancellation charges may apply. The fare conditions for the ticket govern, so review them before payment.

How to compare student itineraries
If more than one itinerary works, compare the final payable total rather than the advertised discount alone. Check whether the fare category qualifies, the route’s baggage allowance, and the date-change and cancellation conditions. A larger advertised percentage may not produce the lowest overall cost once taxes, surcharges and fare rules are included.
