Confirmation methods vary. Walmart says a completion screen indicates the required application steps are complete. Starbucks says applicants receive an email confirmation and can check status in its Career Hub.

Follow the employer’s process rather than assuming a call or visit is welcome.
When the employer has not specified a channel and a suitable recruiter or hiring manager email is available, email is generally the less intrusive default. Santa Clara University says email is typically preferred and cautions that a phone call may be perceived as intrusive. Indeed likewise recommends email in its general guidance and advises against contacting an employer when the posting prohibits it.
