The ventures are not all the same: Latin World Entertainment is a services and representation company she co-founded, EBY was an underwear venture with a social-impact model, and Toty is a skincare and sun-care joint venture with Cantabria Labs. A 2012 estimate put her earnings at $19 million for the year ending May 2012, but that dated figure is not her current net worth.
She began by building a business around Latino talent
Vergara’s business story started before her later consumer brands. She and talent manager Luis Balaguer co-founded Latin World Entertainment, or LatinWE, as a company serving the Latino entertainment market. ABC News described its work as spanning talent management, marketing, production, endorsements, and licensing—not just representing actors.
That breadth matters: the company could connect talent with commercial opportunities and content projects, rather than relying on a single celebrity product. ABC News framed LatinWE as addressing a perceived gap in professional representation and commercial development for Latino talent. Its 2012 profile documents the company’s model at that time; it does not establish its present-day status or financial results. ABC News’ 2012 profile of Vergara’s business.
Television fame expanded her commercial platform
Vergara’s role on Modern Family brought visibility that could support endorsements and licensing. In a 2013 Vogue profile, she said the show’s success helped make possible businesses and causes she had wanted to pursue. The profile also notes her Kmart collection and endorsements. That is her account of how fame opened doors, not proof that the television role alone produced the performance of any particular business. Read the Vogue profile.
These arrangements have different business meanings. An endorsement is a paid promotional relationship; a licensing deal allows a company to use a public figure’s name or image for products; neither automatically means the celebrity owns the product company. LatinWE’s services business, by contrast, was co-founded by Vergara and Balaguer.
Endorsements and licensing generated dated earnings
ABC News estimated Vergara’s earnings at $19 million between May 2011 and May 2012. The report attributed the estimate to a combination of her Modern Family salary, endorsements, and a Kmart licensing deal. It is a historical earnings estimate for that period, not a current net-worth figure, a measure of company revenue, or evidence that any one venture made her wealthy. ABC News’ earnings report.

Vergara later described her personal standard for endorsing products to CBS News: “It has to be something that I believe in, something that I’ve used my whole life.” That statement explains her stated selection criterion; it does not establish that every partnership met it or disclose the terms of individual deals. EBY combined an underwear business with a microfinance mission
In 2017, Vergara launched EBY (“Empowered By You”) with Renata Black as an underwear venture. The partners described a model connecting sales with a nonprofit initiative intended to help women start small businesses through microfinance. CBS News reported at launch that 10% of sales would support the initiative. That is a launch-era commitment reported in 2017, not a verified current contribution rate or a measure of cumulative impact. EBY therefore differed from an endorsement: Vergara was a venture partner, and the company’s founders linked the consumer product to a social-impact purpose. The launch coverage establishes what the partners said the model would do; it does not establish EBY’s current availability or present-day impact totals.
Toty brought her into skincare and sun care
Toty is a skincare and sun-care brand organized as a joint venture with Cantabria Labs. The company’s official European site records the brand’s launch in Spain on July 2, 2025. Vergara has described discovering a Cantabria Labs product during a trip to Spain as part of the story behind the partnership. Toty’s about page; Toty Europa’s launch account.
Toty’s official catalog currently lists products including Ilumina CC Cream SPF 50+, Solaria Mineral SPF 50+, body SPF products, and other skincare items. Those listings establish what the brand offers in its catalog, not independent clinical findings about product efficacy or protection. Ingredient, science, and performance claims should be understood as claims made by Toty or Cantabria Labs unless independently assessed. Browse Toty’s official catalog.
