Public reports put Iain Armitage’s Young Sheldon pay at about $30,000 per episode early in the series and at least $60,000 in later seasons. The Tab also reported later-run figures of about $300,000 per episode for Lance Barber, $150,000 for Zoe Perry and $125,000 for Annie Potts. These are media-reported estimates, not confirmed contract disclosures; exact pay for every cast member and season is not publicly established.

Why reported salaries differ
Barber’s reported later-run pay illustrates why these numbers are best treated as estimates: The Tab put it at about $300,000 per episode, while Dexerto described it as over $300,000. Dexerto also reported an earlier figure around $125,000. The sources do not establish a complete season-by-season salary history, so these reports do not support calculating a precise increase across the run.
Young Sheldon aired on CBS from September 25, 2017, to May 16, 2024. Its main cast included Armitage, Perry, Barber, Jordan, Revord and Potts. Parsons, who played adult Sheldon in The Big Bang Theory, narrated the prequel and was an executive producer. Those roles do not, by themselves, reveal how his compensation was structured. The series dates and cast roles are summarized in the series overview.

How the Big Bang Theory comparison should be read
In August 2014, TIME reported that Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco were set to make $1 million per episode for seasons 8–10 of The Big Bang Theory, attributing the report to Deadline Hollywood. That is a dated report about three actors and specific seasons—not a rate for the entire cast, every season, or Young Sheldon.
A separate TIME report in 2018 gave annual earnings of $26.5 million for Parsons, $25 million for Galecki, and $23.5 million each for Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar, citing Forbes. Those were annual totals that included income beyond the show; they should not be converted into per-episode salaries. See TIME’s reports on the million-dollar episode deals and 2018 annual actor earnings.
