Simon & Schuster lists the hardcover at a $35 retail list price and offers the book in hardcover, ebook, and audiobook formats. The $35 figure is the publisher’s listed price for a copy, not an advance, author fee, or royalty. A retail price alone cannot be used to calculate an author’s earnings.
