What do the salary estimates say?
The figures below are reported by third-party salary sites. The weekly differences are calculated by subtracting each site’s Preston estimate from its Bristol City estimate; they are not confirmed amounts Riis receives.

The annual differences are arithmetic based on each site’s listed annual estimates. They should not be read as guaranteed contract totals.
Why is there no single confirmed answer?
The three sites disagree on both clubs’ figures, and the sources do not establish a shared method or explain consistently whether bonuses and other terms are included. SalaryLeaks labels its Bristol City figure as gross base salary, but that does not establish that the other estimates use the same definition. None of the figures should be treated as take-home pay.

So, the defensible answer is that the estimates suggest roughly £6,885–£7,500 more per week at Bristol City, but the actual contractual difference is not publicly confirmed by these sources. Averaging the estimates would produce a number no source reports and would not make it more reliable.

Preston North End’s official match report dated 27 September 2025 described Riis as a “former North Ender” and reported him appearing for Bristol City against Preston. That confirms the club transition by that date, not his wages or contract terms. SalaryLeaks also reports a Bristol City deal running from July 2025 to June 2028, but the official match report does not verify that salary-site assertion.
