Taylor Swift Touring reported $2,077,618,725 in Eras Tour ticket sales, according to ABC News. Pollstar published a separate estimate of $2,201,107,485 in gross. Both figures put the tour above $2 billion, but neither shows Swift’s personal earnings or the tour’s profit after expenses.

How much money did Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour make?

The answer depends on which published figure you mean. ABC News reported that Taylor Swift Touring put total ticket sales at $2,077,618,725. Pollstar’s year-end release estimated the tour gross at $2,201,107,485. These are distinct figures from different sources—not one total that should be combined or treated as interchangeable.

Source and measure Published figure What it represents
ABC News, reporting Taylor Swift Touring’s total $2,077,618,725; attendance of 10,168,008 Reported ticket sales and attendance for the tour. ABC News, Dec. 9, 2024
Pollstar year-end release $2,201,107,485; about 10.05 million tickets Pollstar’s estimated total gross and ticket count. Its annual chart covers shows played Nov. 16, 2023, through Nov. 13, 2024. Pollstar via PR Newswire, Dec. 13, 2024
Pollstar’s final-tour article About $2.2 billion; 10.055 million tickets A rounded final estimate based on box-office reports and additional market and venue research. Pollstar, Dec. 9, 2024

The $123,488,760 difference between the ABC-reported ticket-sales figure and Pollstar’s year-end estimate is simply the arithmetic difference between those published numbers; it is not a separate reported total. Pollstar’s annual chart period is also not the same as the complete tour period, which ran through the December finale.

Does $2 billion mean Swift personally earned that much?

No. These figures describe gross ticket sales or gross, not personal take-home pay, net income, or profit. They do not account for production, venue, promoter, crew, tax, or contractual costs, and the cited sources do not provide an audited profit calculation. The ticket gross alone cannot establish how much Swift personally earned.

How Pollstar arrived at its estimate

Pollstar’s $2,201,107,485 year-end figure is an estimate, not a second statement from Taylor Swift Touring. Its release says the estimate combines actual box-office reports with estimated ticket counts based on venue capacities, historical Pollstar venue sales data, and other research. Pollstar’s final-tour article also describes using box-office reports and research into market ticket prices, venue capacities, premium seating, and comparable tour data.

Pollstar’s Dec. 9 article separately put the North American tour gross at an estimated $1.04 billion, as reported by the Associated Press. That regional estimate is one part of Pollstar’s worldwide estimate, not an additional amount to add to it. Associated Press, Dec. 9, 2024

How large was the tour?

The Eras Tour began March 17, 2023, and concluded at BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Dec. 8, 2024. Pollstar counted 149 shows across 51 stadiums, spanning North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia over 21 months and five continents. ABC News described the finale as Swift’s third consecutive show in Vancouver.

  • Pollstar estimated an average ticket price of $218.90.
  • Pollstar estimated average attendance of 67,487 per show.
  • The show ran about three and a half hours, with roughly 40 songs organized into 10 sections corresponding to Swift’s albums.

These averages and counts are Pollstar’s tour estimates; they are not a breakdown of Swift’s personal earnings or an audited accounting of every show.

When and where did the Eras Tour end?

The final performance took place at BC Place in Vancouver on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024. During the finale, Swift said the tour had allowed the team to perform for “over 10 million people.” That rounded statement is consistent in scale with the reported and estimated attendance totals, though the sources give different precise counts.
