Roblox Corporation reported a $1.072 billion consolidated net loss for fiscal 2025, the year ended December 31, 2025. The separate net loss attributable to common stockholders was $1.065 billion. These are accounting results, not measures of a fall in Roblox’s stock-market value or a cash loss of the same amount.
Roblox’s reported losses by fiscal year
The company’s annual filing reports these GAAP net-loss figures. The consolidated figure includes a noncontrolling interest; the common-stockholder figure is the portion attributable to common stockholders.

What the $1.072 billion figure does—and does not—mean
Net loss is an accounting measure: it reflects expenses and other items recognized for the fiscal year under accounting rules. It does not mean Roblox’s share price fell by that amount, that users lost money, or that the company paid out $1.072 billion in cash.

Revenue and bookings are different measures
Roblox reported $4,890.6 million in revenue for fiscal 2025. Revenue is recognized under accounting rules; the company says most revenue is recognized over the estimated average lifetime of a paying user. It also reported approximately $6.8 billion in bookings, a company-defined operating measure that Roblox says gives a more timely indication of trends. Neither revenue nor bookings is profit, and bookings should not be described as a loss. See the company’s 2025 Form 10-K and quarterly results materials.
Operating cash flow was positive
Roblox reported $1,796.4 million in net cash provided by operating activities in fiscal 2025, despite its GAAP net loss. Cash flow and net income measure different things. The filing attributes part of the difference to noncash charges, deferred revenue, and changes in operating assets and liabilities. Positive operating cash flow is not the same as profit, just as net loss is not the same as an equivalent cash outflow. Source: Roblox’s 2025 Form 10-K.

Which figure should you use?
- Use $1.072 billion when asking for Roblox Corporation’s consolidated net loss in fiscal 2025.
- Use $1.065 billion when asking for the net loss attributable specifically to common stockholders.
- Specify the fiscal year and measure when comparing figures; do not mix a full-year loss with a quarterly result or treat revenue, bookings, and operating cash flow as interchangeable.
