Luka Modrić was estimated to earn €200,385 a week at Real Madrid in the 2024–25 season, or €10,420,000 for the season, according to wage data credited to Capology by FBref. That is a third-party estimate, not a salary figure disclosed by the club. Modrić’s Real Madrid contract ended on 30 June 2025; later reports place him at AC Milan and connect him with Swansea City.
Modrić’s estimated Real Madrid wage for 2024–25
FBref’s Real Madrid wages table lists Modrić at €200,385 per week and €10,420,000 per year for 2024–25, crediting Capology as the data source: FBref’s Real Madrid wages table. These are season-specific estimates. Real Madrid did not publish this salary figure in its contract announcement.
A separate salary database gives a broadly similar figure of €200,000 per week for 2024. Because it is a different source and presentation, it should be treated as a separate estimate rather than confirmation of a club-disclosed wage.
Why the Real Madrid wording is now out of date
Real Madrid announced on 17 July 2024 that it had extended Modrić’s contract through 30 June 2025. The club’s statement said: “Real Madrid C. F. and Luka Modrić have agreed to extend the contract of our captain, who will be linked to the club until 30 June 2025.” Real Madrid’s official announcement establishes the contract end date, but does not disclose his pay.

Later reports identify Modrić with AC Milan. A 2026 report says he agreed to remain there through June 2027 and puts his annual pay at €3.5 million plus bonuses. That is media-reported compensation, not an official salary disclosure. AS’s report on Modrić’s Milan extension.

Reports have also linked Modrić with Swansea City. Cadena SER reported in 2025 that he was aligning with Snoop Dogg to support the club’s project. An AS report in July 2026 described Modrić, then at Milan, and Snoop Dogg as new Swansea partners: Cadena SER’s 2025 report; AS’s July 2026 report.
