A widebody Toyota Supra Mk4 can sell for very different amounts: Bring a Trailer reported a $64,000 sale for a modified 1994 example in 2026, while Iconic Auctioneers reported a £16,313 sale for a different modified 1993 car in 2024. Those are individual auction results, not a current valuation range—and they do not show that a widebody kit alone adds a particular amount.
What do widebody Supra Mk4s sell for?
The two documented auction outcomes offer useful examples, but they should not be treated as directly comparable prices. The cars differed in year, specification, modifications, market, currency, and sale date.
| Auction result | Car and details reported by the auction house |
|---|---|
| $64,000, sold September 7, 2026 | Bring a Trailer reports a 1994 Japanese-market Supra Turbo RZ with a six-speed manual and Ridox-style widebody. Other listed changes included Work Emotion ZR10 wheels, lowered suspension, a front-mount intercooler, and a custom stainless exhaust. Bring a Trailer |
| £16,313, sold December 7, 2024 | Iconic Auctioneers reports a 1993 Japanese-market twin-turbo car imported to the UK, fitted with an Abflug widebody kit. The listing gives 121,019 km, a four-speed automatic, an upgraded engine said to produce about 400 bhp, and custom interior and electronics work. Iconic Auctioneers |
The auction records do not provide an independent appraisal or adjustments for fees, taxes, exchange rates, or subsequent market movement. The sale prices therefore describe what those particular cars achieved at those auctions, not what another Mk4 should cost today.
Why the widebody kit does not determine the value
Neither sale isolates the contribution of the body kit. Each car had other modifications, and the records do not compare either vehicle with an otherwise equivalent standard-bodied Supra. A widebody conversion may be part of a car’s appeal, but these results do not establish that it creates a premium—or quantify one.

The Iconic listing identifies the Abflug kit pieces fitted to its car as the front bumper, eyeliner, bonnet, front and rear fenders, door, side step, rear bumper, spoiler, door mirror, inner fender, and mounting hardware. That describes the kit as presented in that auction record; it does not establish current availability, price, or production quantity.
What to compare when assessing a specific car
Before treating an auction result as a guide, compare cars on the details that can materially distinguish them:

- Year and market specification: establish the model year and whether it was built for the Japanese market or another market.
- Engine and transmission: identify the powertrain and gearbox, and verify claims about engine upgrades.
- Mileage, condition, and history: review the odometer reading, maintenance records, ownership history, and inspection evidence.
- Kit identity and installation: look for documentation identifying the kit and evidence of the quality and completeness of the installation.
- Other modifications: account for performance, suspension, wheel, exhaust, interior, and electronics changes rather than attributing the whole result to the bodywork.
- Sale circumstances: note the date, currency, auction venue, and whether the reported amount includes buyer fees or other costs.
Without closely comparable transactions and a condition assessment, an auction headline is context—not a substitute for valuing the particular car.
What “Mk4” and “A80” mean
“Mk IV” and “A80” refer to the fourth-generation Toyota Supra discussed here. Toyota’s official GR brand book says the A80 launched in 1993 and production ended in 2002. It describes the model’s reputation, motorsport participation, and following in tuner culture, but that manufacturer history does not determine an individual car’s market value. Toyota GR brand book

Are these widebody Supras rare?
The auction listings document cars fitted with Ridox-style and Abflug widebody treatments, but the available records do not establish how many were made or how many survive. A claim that a particular configuration is “one of” a stated number needs separate production documentation.
