DWR’s 2026 Fishing Guidebook says a 2.2% transaction fee applies to online and in-person credit or debit card transactions. That fee is separate from the listed license price, so include it when estimating a card checkout total. The guidebook does not establish that the same fee applies to other payment methods. Exceptions apply to some military members and full-time students. If your circumstances are unusual, review DWR’s Utah residency requirements before selecting a rate.
