For a Roblox creator cashing out eligible Earned Robux, 30,000 Robux is worth $114 USD at the standard Developer Exchange Program (DevEx) rate. That is not the cash value of Robux you bought or redeemed from a gift card. If you mean the cost to buy 30,000 Robux, the current checkout price is not established here and can depend on region and platform.
What 30,000 Robux means in creator cash
Roblox’s standard DevEx exchange rate is $0.0038 per eligible Earned Robux. The calculation is 30,000 × $0.0038 = $114 USD. This is the gross exchange calculation; it does not establish what a particular creator will receive after any payment-specific considerations.
DevEx is for creators exchanging qualifying earnings, not a resale mechanism for a player’s Robux balance. Roblox says directly purchased Robux and gift-card redemptions are not Earned Robux. See Roblox’s Developer Exchange Program documentation.
Cash-out value depends on how and when the Robux were earned
| Robux category | Rate | Value for 30,000 | Qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Current standard-rate Earned Robux | $0.0038 per Robux | $114 USD | Roblox’s standard DevEx rate; applies to qualifying current-rate earnings. |
| Qualifying U.S. 18+ rate earnings | $0.0054 per Robux | $162 USD | Only for qualifying earnings tied to eligible games and eligible purchases by U.S. players verified as at least 18. Roblox says this rate took effect June 8, 2026; it is not the default rate. Details: Roblox’s U.S. 18+ exchange rate page. |
| Eligible older earnings | $0.0035 per Robux | $105 USD | Applies to eligible Earned Robux from before September 5, 2025 at 10 a.m. PT. Roblox requires older-rate eligible earnings to be cashed out before current-rate earnings. |
The dates and eligibility rules matter: a balance is not automatically worth $114 just because it shows 30,000 Robux. Roblox determines which Robux qualify as Earned Robux and which rate applies. For older-rate balances, spending Robux does not clear the older balance first. Roblox’s DevEx documentation explains the program’s rate and balance rules.

30,000 Robux is a minimum threshold, not a guaranteed payout
Meeting the 30,000 Earned Robux threshold alone does not guarantee eligibility for DevEx. Roblox lists these requirements among others:
- Be at least 13 years old.
- Have at least 30,000 Earned Robux.
- Have a Roblox-verified email address.
- Have a valid DevEx portal account.
- Provide required tax documentation: a W-9 for U.S. taxpayers or a W-8 for non-U.S. taxpayers.
- Comply with Roblox’s Terms of Use and Community Standards.
Roblox retains discretion over whether Robux qualify as Earned Robux. Direct Robux purchases, monthly subscription grants, gift-card redemptions, transfers, and proceeds from trading or reselling in-game or avatar items are among the sources Roblox excludes from Earned Robux.

Buying 30,000 Robux is a different question
The $114 figure is a creator cash-out calculation, not the purchase price for 30,000 Robux. Current consumer package pricing is not established here, so there is no reliable checkout total to quote. Do not use the DevEx rate to estimate a purchase price: buying Robux and exchanging eligible creator earnings are different transactions. The device, platform, and region can also affect consumer checkout pricing.
Robux obtained through a gift-card redemption also does not become DevEx-eligible Earned Robux. The same exclusion applies to directly purchased Robux.

How to estimate a creator’s eligible cash-out
- Check how the Robux were obtained. Exclude purchased Robux, gift-card redemptions, monthly subscription grants, transfers, and excluded trading or resale proceeds.
- Identify the earning period. Eligible earnings before September 5, 2025 at 10 a.m. PT use the older $0.0035 rate; newer eligible earnings generally use the standard $0.0038 rate.
- Check whether any earnings specifically meet the U.S. 18+ rate requirements. Do not apply $0.0054 to the entire balance unless all of it qualifies.
- Multiply each eligible portion by its applicable rate. Treat the result as an exchange calculation, not a guaranteed net payment.
- Confirm DevEx requirements and Roblox’s determination of eligibility before relying on the estimate.
What platform-wide creator figures do—and don’t—tell you
Roblox’s Creator Hub says more than 35,000 creators were in DevEx and the median creator received $1,550 USD during the twelve months ended December 31, 2025. That platform-wide figure is context, not a forecast or promise of what a particular creator will earn or receive. See Roblox’s creator monetization information.
