What does the DA50 RG cost?
The clearest new-aircraft benchmark is Diamond Aircraft’s 2025 list price of US$1,150,000 for the DA50 RG Standard Version. Because that figure comes from a dated price list, buyers should treat it as a reference point and request an up-to-date, configuration-specific quote from a Diamond dealer.
Used and other listed aircraft can fall above or below that benchmark. On October 8, 2026, Controller.com displayed 23 DA50 RG listings priced from US$844,312 to US$1,499,500. Examples included a 2024 aircraft at US$1,148,900, a 2025 aircraft at US$1,379,000, and a 2026 aircraft at US$1,499,500. These advertised prices reflect different aircraft and listing circumstances; the page does not establish completed-sale prices.

The listing range should not be read as a valuation range for an identical aircraft. Model year, airframe and engine time, installed equipment, location, currency, and the seller’s circumstances can all differ. Compare like with like, and distinguish a factory list price from a seller’s asking price.

What options can add to the purchase price?
Diamond’s optional-equipment list, effective February 1, 2025, priced TKS de-icing at US$109,424 and air conditioning at US$53,312. These are individual option prices, not a complete package or a final delivered cost. The list states that prices are ex factory London, Ontario, exclude taxes, and may change without notice.
Because the list price and option prices have different qualifications, do not simply treat their sum as an out-the-door quote. Ask the dealer to itemize the selected equipment and specify delivery terms, taxes, and any other charges that apply to the transaction.

What to compare when evaluating an aircraft
- Price basis: Identify whether the figure is a manufacturer list price or a seller’s asking price, and what is included.
- Aircraft details: Compare model year, airframe time, engine time, and installed equipment.
- Market and currency: Check where the aircraft is located and the currency and terms behind its advertised price.
- Configuration: Confirm which options are installed or included in the quoted price rather than assuming all DA50 RGs are equipped alike.
- Transaction costs: Request an itemized quote that clarifies taxes and delivery; the published option list excludes taxes.
Why configuration matters
The DA50 RG is a retractable-gear aircraft powered by a 300 hp Continental CD-300 Jet-A engine, according to Diamond Aircraft. Diamond announced EASA certification in September 2020 and obtained FAA certification on July 25, 2023. Its brochure describes a five-seat standard configuration, but equipment can affect weight, and specifications are not a guarantee that every listed aircraft has the same useful load or equipment.

For a used aircraft, request the listing details and compare the aircraft’s year, times, equipment, location, and price basis with other current offers.
