90 Day Fiancé cast pay is reported, not officially published by TLC. Former cast members and entertainment outlets have put first-season compensation at roughly $1,000–$1,500 per episode; Stephanie Matto later said she made about $1,000–$2,000 per episode. Those figures are accounts of particular deals, not a guaranteed rate for every cast member.
What do 90 Day Fiancé cast members reportedly earn?
The best-supported short answer is a reported range of about $1,000–$1,500 per episode for first-season participants. In a 2025 interview report, former cast member Stephanie Matto said her own pay had been about $1,000–$2,000 per episode. These figures come from cast statements and entertainment reporting, not a published TLC compensation schedule.

What cast members and reports have said
| Account | Reported pay | Context and limits |
|---|---|---|
| Stephanie Matto, as quoted by TV Insider | $1,000 or $1,500 per episode for first-season couples; a little more for the Tell All | Matto said a season might include about 10–13 episodes. This is her description of typical first-season pay, not an official rate card. [TV Insider] |
| Stephanie Matto, as reported by CinemaBlend in 2025 | About $1,000–$2,000 per episode for her; she believed Pillow Talk paid about $1,500 per episode | Matto said returning cast members’ rates rise, but did not establish a standard increase. Her contracts were not independently verified in the report. [CinemaBlend] |
| Deavan Clegg, as reported by Showbiz Cheat Sheet | $1,000 for each episode she was featured in and $1,500 for the Tell All | Clegg described her own experience. She also said travel, parking, and food costs sometimes fell to her, with some expenses sometimes reimbursed. [Showbiz Cheat Sheet] |
| Unnamed source cited by Women’s Health in 2019 | $500–$1,000 per episode before 2018, rising to $1,000–$1,500 the following year | Historical, unconfirmed reporting; the article said TLC had not responded to its request to confirm the rates. [Women’s Health] |
| Danielle Mullins, as summarized by TV Insider | Close to $10,000 for a season if featured in every episode | A reported estimate with an important condition: appearing in every episode. It is not a typical or guaranteed season total. [TV Insider] |
Why a season’s total can vary
A per-episode figure does not tell you what a participant takes home for a season. Matto estimated roughly 10–13 paid episodes in a season, while Clegg described pay for episodes in which she actually appeared. The number of appearances, the specific show or spinoff, Tell All terms, and an individual’s contract can all affect the total. The cited accounts do not establish uniform contracts, deductions, or a standard number of paid episodes.

Returning cast members may negotiate or receive more, according to Matto’s account, but the sources do not specify a standard raise or show that every returning cast member earns more. Season totals should therefore be treated as individual estimates, not a calculation that applies to every cast member.

Several cast accounts and entertainment reports describe pay as potentially differing by filming location and work authorization. Matto said that on the U.S.-based flagship show, only the U.S. citizen is paid, while both partners may be paid on shows filmed abroad, including Before the 90 Days and The Other Way. Accounts attributed to Deavan Clegg and Danielle Mullins likewise describe a foreign partner in the United States as potentially unpaid before receiving work authorization.

Has TLC confirmed the pay figures?
No official TLC compensation schedule is published on the show’s official page, which describes the premise and lists episodes. The cited entertainment coverage also says TLC and producer Sharp Entertainment have not disclosed participant pay. As a result, the reported figures should not be presented as TLC-confirmed salaries, averages, or current policy.
